MuonMax June 9, 2012 June 9, 2012 I'm creating a human tulpa that is based off of Twilight Sparkle, and not a copy mind you. I started tulpaforcing about a week ago, doing sessions of roughly an hour and thirty minutes each time. I'm more or less following Faqman's methods for now, and I'm on personality. The main traits I've come up with for her so far: - Organized - Honest - Motivated - Articulate - Analytical - Resolute - Impulsive - Confident - Skeptical - Friendly or Accepting of Help - Worry Wart - Flexible - Loves Literature - Scientific - Appreciates History - Strong-Willed - Adventurous - Witty Some sub-traits: - Perfectionist - Logical (in other words, she's much more logical than creative) - Open I have the list in my head (along with details and some sub-traits), and the traits play off of each other in different ways, but it would be hard to explain. During most sessions this week I've experimented in using different methods to get personality. The method I came up with yesterday, and that I'll try again today (because I feel that works best), is taking one trait, seeing how it would make her feel in or deal with certain situations, and thinking about how that trait is created by other traits and how it contributes to them. I would then take one of those other traits, and do the same process, until I feel that I have sufficiently gone over all of them.
Havoc June 9, 2012 June 9, 2012 Hi Max! Nice to see someone else is beginning as well! Look forward to reading your thread in the future!
MuonMax June 9, 2012 Author June 9, 2012 Hey! It is, and nice to meet you. I just read yours, and I look forward to reading more of your thread as well. Nice wonderland by the way, it sounds very quaint.
MuonMax July 8, 2012 Author July 8, 2012 Okay, I've still been tulpaforcing, I just haven't gotten around to updating this thread. After 16 hours of working on personality I felt I had a good enough grasp on it to move on to visualization. I've also been doing narration every now and then since I first started, doing so with gradually more frequency. Visualization was difficult at first, because I'm not very good with visualizing correct proportions, but it has gotten much easier the more I have done so. I've also started noticing some deviation. My tulpa has gone from having purple eyes and dark blue hair (with purple highlights), to ice blue eyes and dark blue hair (w/out highlights) with a different hairstyle. I think I might start calling her Dawn instead of Twilight as well, since it feels more appropriate. Lately I've started forcing in a different manner. When I tulpaforce now, I do so throughout the day- as opposed to one long session. It sounded like a good idea when I heard about it in some thread, and it's really helped me in visualizing her face, which had been extremely difficult for me beforehand. I haven't gotten any emotional responses yet, but I hardly even feel much emotion anymore, so I'm not surprised. Could she still be emotional (even just a little) if I'm not?
