BurningFox6 June 13, 2012 June 13, 2012 Let's say that a tulpa recieves their name, whether you give it to them or they decide on it themselves. You decide that, while their name is nice, it might be a pain to say it over and over, so you shorten it when you talk to them while still keeping the original name. My question is, do tulpas accept this? Like this? Is it even possible?
Guest applesauce99 June 13, 2012 June 13, 2012 By all means, totally. The tulpa will understand the name as a nickname if you understand it such. If it's sentient it might say something about the nickname if it doesn't like it, but otherwise pfft no problem there.
Graywolf June 13, 2012 June 13, 2012 Burning, from what I've read, tulpae vary just as much as humans do, so there probably isn't any definite answer on whether a tulpa would like it or not, just like there's not a definite answer on whether a person will be accepting of a nickname or not. It probably also depends on what the nickname is/what their actual name is. Tulpa: Brook Stage: We're back at the beginning
BurningFox6 June 14, 2012 Author June 14, 2012 Makes sense to me. Has anyone had any experience, though? Anyone have a tulpa that actually said no to a nickname?
