The Sky's the Limit (Glimmer and Spyro)

Hey there! This will be a general thread for me to talk about how things are going with Spyro. He may chime in from time to time as well. [Hello!]

 

Here's my first post that generally describes how he came to be, and how he is currently.

 

I'll toss some updates since then, too!

 

He was sick for about a week and a half a while ago. He didn't respond much, and stayed back at the dorm when I went to my classes, even when I asked him to come with me. He slept quite a lot as well. It turns out, apparently, he wasn't used to the weather where I live now. When he was active, back when I was in middle school and high school, I lived in a very warm climate, even during Fall and Winter. The average temperature here recently has been about 60 degrees at the highest, so it's quite a bit of a change. He finally came with me to classes with a scarf and gloves. [being cold-blooded is tough.]

 

He dressed up for Halloween, though! [Really proud of myself for that one.] He was Jack Skellington. [Face makeup, coat, and some skeleton gloves! I looked really cool!] I doodled a picture of him in said outfit that I'll toss up here sometime.

 

Some general info would be good as well, I guess!

 

His appearance is somewhat of a mix between "classic" and "new" Spyro, but also more like a realistic dragon. He walks on all fours, can fly, and breathe fire. Other elements, not so much. He chose to forgo those, too much effort and energy.

 

He's a bit old-fashioned. Doesn't like cursing or vulgar things, and is currently very confused with my sense of humor. He also has trouble understanding certain sayings and figures of speech.

He's very determined and diligent! Keeping my grades up is one of his main priorities right now. [And doing well on tests! Though...I suppose that would fall under grades.]

 

I'm not sure we really have a "wonderland". He however, has his own version of the Dragon Realms, apparently. [Yeah. I go back there sometimes to rest and to see my friends. I guess it's a multi...verse? Thing? Cynder and Ember are both there, though it looks more in general like...well, a cartoon, I guess, as opposed to the realistic qualities of the Dragon Realms where I was with Ignitus. I guess I'm a Spyro, and not...the Spyro, even if I can't really understand it that well. My place isn't there, though I can go there when I wish. It's here, with Glimmer, that I belong.] He can explain it better than me, I've never been. I don't even think I can.

 

He and I are currently just lazing about on a chilly day, with nothing to do in particular. You can ask us some questions, if you'd like! Or just stay tuned for updates on our adventures from time to time.

He is usually very polite and level-headed about things, but he has a weakness for comfort food. This has been a very silly discovery...and an excuse to post something.

 

It's tough to talk to him when my roommate is around. Sure, talking in my mind is nice, but speaking aloud once in a while is nice. It will be nice when I get my own place next year. He'll have more room than in this cramped dorm to stretch his wings and such. I may even make him a little pillow nest on the floor. Easily explained away as a bed for visiting pets. He's really proud of me for wanting to be independent. [but you also have to focus on the now, and not get lost in the tomorrows. Patience and persistence is key, you'll get there. Also, hey forum. I'm sleepy. I have also discovered that I love peppermint!]

I saw this and my first thought was 'Wow, someone beat out my wonderzone for Spyro love.' Your first post kinda hammers that home, too. Looking forward to hearing what happens to a purple dragon and you.
