After lots of research I've decided to create a tulpa for the purpose of self improvement and education. I'm going to take a structured approach to this and not assume anything. I established a few basic ground rules for if my tulpa does manage to reach sentience (Or what I perceive as sentience, as the idea of consciousness is a loaded subject anyway). The tulpa will have full access to my memories and subconscious "stray thoughts". It doesn't make sense to build a construct in the software of my brain and not give it access to all the resources available to it. The second thing I set to work on was the mind-space or "wonderland". I created a very coherent world so I could easily get my bearings when communicating or working with the tulpa. I am calling the current sphere of this world Sphere Alpha. It is a circle exactly 20 Km in diameter surround by ocean on all sides. Fjords jut 1km above sea level on the western side, giving away to a tundra plateau spotted with small patches of wood and grasslands that are rich with prey animals. On the east side there is a winding path down the fjords to a small sand dune. To the south is an imposing obsidian-black superstructure that is roughly 6 X 2 Km with a height of 4 Km above sea level. In the antechamber of this structure lays the prototype anatomy of the tulpa. As I was concentrating on the tulpa, two white hot swords pierced the ceiling of the superstructure and landed on either side of the dormant tulpa. I am unsure if these swords were my doing or my subconscious but I am very intrigued.

Quick update -

A few more sessions of narration and forcing, finally got some peace and quiet to do it. I have not chosen a form for the tulpa other than a blank, human analogue template. The latest change to Proteus' appearance seems to be the addition of a suit of heavy black armor and a horned helmet. Proteus has red, glowing eyes. After more forcing I had some vague visions of being in conflict with Proteus, we seemed to be participating in a sword duel with one another. Proteus cut me down with little effort. Shortly after the duel Proteus took on a form very similar to my younger brother. I have noticed tenuous signs of sentience from Proteus but nothing too complex yet, just simple phrases.

Report 3 -

I may have accidentally created 3 separate tulpas. While forcing with Proteus I tried to let the tulpa take its own form. After forcing at work for about 4 hours (Not an easy task with how crazy my job can get sometimes) I started to see three vague forms with my mind's eye. I went ahead and named all three of them: Zephyr, Vulcan, and Deimos. They seem to be able to coalesce into one form, Proteus. When they are separated they each have unique appearances and tendencies. I am seeing more signs of sentience with each session.

Zephyr, Vulcan, Deimos -

Zephyr is a female humanoid with long braided hair and blue eyes. She seems concerned with my mental well being, we have not communicated beyond that.

Vulcan is a male humanoid who is very tall, with short red hair, red eyes, and olive skin. Vulcan is aggressive but cheerful, he seems very pushy.

Deimos is a male humanoid who has blonde hair, pale skin, and green eyes. His face is very similar to that of my younger brother, his laugh is similar as well.

Forcing, forcing, and more forcing -

It's becoming difficult to determine what thoughts are of my own and what thoughts belong to my tulpas when forcing. I have a very clear view of the wonderland I have created. This has been helpful since the very reason I made it with such specific boundaries is to help me keep my bearings when forcing. I have found that there are new areas in the wonderland that I have not created. When forcing I imagine myself and the three all out in the tundra with hand-made spears and bows. We are hunting game in the tundra. This theme re-occurs over and over, whenever I force with my tulpas my thoughts seem to turn to the hunt. Perhaps its because of the environment I have made for them. I have yet to have any audio hallucinations of my tulpas, and their forms tend to change subtly every time I force. Their communication seems forceful and vague, I can ask a question and get a terse answer occasionally. Usually I will not get a response, or instead of a thought I will see an image of the tulpa reacting, or get a "feeling".

As always, more reports to follow. Any advice would be accepted.
