Sounds poetic and nice. 😊 You're welcome, lol. "Aww, crud! I left the phone capsule at home."/j Aww, I'm sure it just takes practice. 😁 Pretty sure Bre thinks about these long before she posts too. I can't imagine just thinking of those off the top of your head. Aww, I hope you sleep/slept well! (っ.❛ ᴗ ❛.)っ Forgot about this. Lol! 🤣

you start with observations and questions, and then you try to fill in the gaps with the answers you think would be most compelling i would still consider myself a beginner at piano and at composition. this is the first time i've attempting to arrange anything, but it's been a lot of fun and i've been learning a lot i've been listening to a lot of different kingdom hearts songs, and looking at sheet music and such that other people have made, and trying to figure out the melodies and motifs. my understanding of music theory is pretty rudimentary, so mostly i'm just going off of trial and error and listening to what sounds right and what doesn't. but even if i lack the theoretical knowledge to articulate it, i'm starting to glimpse at the way that all of these pieces were made to fit together. i feel like i understand something deeper about these songs that i wasn't able to appreciate before yoko shimomura may not know me, but i feel a connection to her through the knowledge she has bestowed upon me with these songs music is a good hobby then it will take me on an eggventure

Quest for the Liminal World (a lucid dreaming thread)

@Pierrot Thank you! -
whatever makes me compulsively edit posts because i kept adding or changing that one for the entire 26 minute lifespan until shaula posted lol i have to watch scene again since i forget the context and would not have thought about it until linda and byakko saw it some weeks ago. she usually has a case of capsules on her all the time so one would probably have a phone, but idr if there was a reason she didn't i typed a text wall trying to think about the db world the way bre talks about the pokemon world but i am not as good at it so it primarily was a bunch of observations and questions. i then spent way to long trying to figure out how bulma's journey to find the dragonballs the first time if she was by herself the entire time omg i have a migraine. gonna sleep rad i've done 0 music i think pb and maybe mitski can understand more maybe me, playing lotpw on mega hard mode where i spent like an hour and a half typing and researching a post i ended up deleting anyway. not very cash money. or not very time post, i mean what happens if you let your egg guide you

What's the Liminal World? The Liminal World is my attempt to create a persistent realm within my dreams, but it would be more accurate to call it a fusion of a paracosmic multiverse and an RPG. My home in the Liminal World is a single room, based on Madotsuki's room in Yume Nikki (with some changes). Since Yume Nikki is a game about exploring dreams, it seems fitting. Everything else (except the veranda) exists in a Dream World. There are three ways I can enter a Dream World: Fall asleep in this room. Doing this while physically awake (i.e., imagining myself falling asleep) will return me to whichever Dream World I last visited. Enter it from the Nexus. Fall asleep in physical reality and have a dream there. The Nexus is just like in Yume Nikki: I leave my room and enter void-like place full of doors to Dream Worlds. At least, that's the plan. I haven't been there yet, and the only way to get there is either in a dream or by spending a Dream Token to unlock my door (it's locked while I'm awake, another mechanic stolen from YN). Creating a door to a world I haven't visited will cost more Dream Tokens if I'm not asleep. How do I get Dream Tokens? I have to complete goals and quests while dreaming. Lucidity is optional, but I do have to be physically asleep (no "my liminal self is dreaming" daydreams). What's this thread? It's a progress report for lucid dreaming, as well as for dream incubation and the development of this world (these worlds?). It's a bit silly to call it "Quest for the Liminal World" when I'm perfectly capable of accessing it while awake, but I wanted a catchy title. Hey, it's my quest to reach it in a lucid dream and discover more of it. This thread is not a dream journal; I already post my dream journal to LD4all (requires account to view) and DreamViews (no login required). I'll share relevant or particularly interesting dreams here. Where am I at now? My dream recall isn't bad. I recall dreams nearly every night, but they're often short or fragmented. I lucid dream sometimes, but not regularly. It's been over two weeks since my last one. My dream control is poor. I've never successfully incubated a dream (that is, decided what to dream about in advance and then dreamt about it). It's rare that my tulpas appear in my dreams, but Kayleigh (@KayKay) usually knows we're dreaming if she's there. I don't think Alex has ever been aware in a dream. (Have they never appeared together in a dream? I might have to check old dream journal entries...) I keep a dream journal and do reality checks throughout the day. I've been bouncing around between ideas/techniques in the few weeks since I started seriously trying to lucid dream again, but the routine I think I'll settle for is: Morning: Dream journal Daytime/evening: Sporadic reality checks, Interdimensional Spot the Difference, and meditation (visualizing myself in my liminal room, then alternating between practicing SSILD sensory cycling and breathing with affirmations) Bedtime: (not sure yet, might tailor to nightly goals) During nighttime awakenings: MILD, not repeated, followed by SSILD until I fall back asleep Why am I posting this? I've been hesitant to post too much about lucid dreaming in my PR, since it's only tangential to tulpamancy. Then I found @Luminesce's dreaming thread, binge-read the first 20 pages, and got inspired. Dreaming progress reports are a thing? (Also, I find it inspiring how long his system kept up posting daily updates despite struggling with executive dysfunction and often not making satisfactory progress. I also struggle with executive dysfunction, and I'm awful with consistency, but if they could post daily, I can at least be semi-consistent, right?) Yes, I say "semi-consistent" because I want this to keep me accountable and motivated, but I'm not going to stay motivated if it feels like a chore. Heck, the reason this is all so gamified is because that's fuel for motivation. Also, I won't post on Fridays. That's our sabbath. Kick me if you see me online, please. Anyway, hopefully we'll have some cool stories to share soon enough!

Imagine thinking you can steal last postingness from me at European hours Also I absolutely despise working outdoors, I hate bugs and it's full of them, especially at night I always shower thoroughly as soon as I get home and still feel them on me *angry frog noises*

I like it! 😊 Weird given literally everything in Capsule Corp. lol. Hehe, I just have things are very me. 😁 All of them are good movies and I'm pretty sure Linda doesn't have a favorite. Good luck! 😊 I know you can do it!

oh, i see i guess it is just the F5 tornadoes that flatten neighorhoods or whatever (or maybe they don't either and tornadoes are overrated. idk how common the bigger Fs are) oh yeah. suddenly reminded of some really esoteric filler nobody talks about. fake namek. in Z filler, krillin bulma and gohan land on a planet they mistake for namek before they reach the real namek, and it has tornadoes that last hundreds of years. that'd be wild. the uncanny degree i've never seen it be mentioned anywhere feels so strange, knowing i'd only know it because of our system having watched the show a few times. it feels almost 30% as disturbing as when miri mentioned barnyard i can find an esoteric filler memory that is 43% disturbing by remembering inoshikacho no not that one the one from dragonball someone needs to study how dragonball had colored photography and m16s 300 years ago in like age 400 something, but in the early half of age 700 world war 2 era weapons seem very widespread and they don't have cell phones except maybe the big fat brick ones until about the buu saga that have flip phones, and then a couple years after the buu saga they have smart phones and ipads, then in GT like 15 years later society has returned to wired landlines (the last two are just because gt was made in the 90s and Super was made in the 2010s and they aren't the same continuity, but it's the dragonball anime alone that you can see 300 years of the world having the same 20th century guns lol how tf is bulma such a boomer in the buu saga she doesn't have a cell phone btw, i think it was videl the only one who had one on her lol i'm unsure how to feel about a show sorta implanting IRL tech advancements. i guess they want it to be more relatable, but it's such whiplash it is borderline retconning goten and trunks into ipad kids because a 1 or 2 year time gap in the story was a 20 year gap in real life wonder if star wars does that. star wars was made in the 70s, so they have starfaring space ships, but their computers have the graphical capabilities of an atari. they've utterly mastered the manipulation of physics and are like a type 3 civilization or something, but then they'll bust out some ham radio type thing or something to communicate. idk if newer star wars stuff has things that look like smart phones just because we have those now, or computers that aren't using low polygon original starfox graphics for models -fighter pilot in a spacecraft that can jump across star systems in mere moments, and fire torpedos with an energy yield greater than hydrogen bombs- -busts out the fucking virtual boy to lock onto things- oh, interesting i'm not sure which one is my favorite. hmmmmmmm maybe, if i can stop being a chud that doesn't finish anything i start lol true

Probably my favorite movie for a number of reasons and dispite a few. (Turles knows what he did.) Yeah, it looks really cool! Sounds about right. That was put together. 😁 That would probably be great. 😁 I don't think any of us can speak as eloquently as he does though. I'm glad to see you write so much! 😊 I'd love to see that written out someday. 😁 Also, I feel like you need to make a drawing like that meme. It just kinda matches up a little too well in my opinion, lol. Oh! Cool! 😁 I wonder if you two were anywhere nearby, lol. Oh, that's pretty interesting! 😁

it's not so much about there being a lot of empty space. like, sure, if a tornado is happening in the middle of nowhere, it's no big deal, but i wouldn't even be aware of that sort of thing. if a tornado directly passes over a place, it will do some damage, but tornadoes aren't usually that big, so there is only a small area that they directly pass over. but there are still high winds that can pick stuff up in the surrounding area, and if a tornado is nearby, it could always swerve to your location, so it's not safe to be outside. but a tornado isn't going to pick up your house or anything. as long as you stay away from windows or ideally in a basement, there is low risk. if there is a big tree nearby, a tornado could knock it over and it could crash into your house, which could be dangerous. but you're still pretty unlikely to get hurt when you live in tornado alley, you just get desensitized to it. it's no different from a big storm. most people don't bother to change their routine much

Visualization Progress Report for Past Week: I've had a couple of sessions in the past week, mostly with Verres, where there was something almost like a visual outline. Like something invisible clearly present and trying to be visual or closer to me somehow. These were very pleasant, like she was there physically as we hung out. There were more sessions where there was a clear impression of something there, but more felt and not quite visual as the above type. These feels pretty good too. Imposition practice has slowly turned into something enjoyable in its own right, almost like a musical instrument once the player had gotten more familiar with it. There were a few sessions where I struggled to achieve the above state, more often with Saeya. Touching and tracing her physical outline with my mental hands had helped to push her to the second stage described above most of the times. I also did more work with her face and hair this week, getting more reference pictures, allowing my own unconscious to tweak their shapes and to visualize them better. In retrospect, it's curious that she has not participated too much in this process, but was simply patient with it all. She was pretty laid back and got me to relax the few times when my own mind got frazzled during this process. I find that reminding myself or mentally affirming that everything I see is a visualization created by my psyche helps me get to the two states described above. My mental visualization of both tulpas have also been decent for the past week. When they're turning around, I can see them at more different angles better now. I went out to the local mall today to impose the tulpas. It was an uneventful session, with both of them having fairly strong and stable presence. There were some mental visuals of them that popped up spontaneously along with their physical presence. Just something I realized, but I have not experienced physical outlines of them while in public or with them moving yet. I might be able to experiment with the latter in my own home. Miscellaneous Stuff: I noticed that I sometimes get annoyed when one tulpa pops up, especially in imposed presence, when the other was already present. It can also sometimes take some effort to switch mental gears to get to a mental state where I can clearly feel the second one when I was already, for lack of a better word, connected to the first one. This seems to be more of a mental quirk that's developed rather than a legit restriction. I tried to calmly impose both tulpas together today when one popped up again while the other was already present, and it went ok. There's probably just a part of my mind that dislikes surprises and prefers to focus on one thing at a time. I was tempted to buy a stone bowl, a handmade one where the seller have a lot of the ones in similar sizes available, and would send a random one out to the customer. With S/H it came close to $28, and Verres advised me against it, stating that for that amount, I should be able to know what I was getting for sure. Saeya helped with some kind of mental maintenance this week as well. I don't even remember what the issue was. When they were successfully dealt with, these sorts of mental complexes/themes tend to lose their emotional 'oomph' and becomes very forgettable, as they should be.

yeah flash flooding seems to be the only real natural disaster risk here. never had forest fires or tornadoes or earthquakes. if there has ever been an earthquake, it was literally negligible and unnoticeable to the degree you might not know it happened it'd be cool to travel. tb and rena would always dream of traveling. also don't particularly want to live where we do right now, but if we moved somewhere else in the world, i don't know where we'd go. it seems too sad to not have all 4 seasons and i think we almost take for granted how many places in the world seem nice until i realize they have 1 or 2 seasons. i can't imagine someone who has never seen fall leaves or spring flowers or winter snow (summer can eat it though. well nvm, i think usually is summer when you can see lightning bugs or hear cicadas, and forests get extra fluffy with their mystically dense viridian greenyness) oh, random fun fact mitski read the other day recently we knew osamu tezuka is someone toriyama looked up to (as does many cartoonists/mangaka/film directors around the world and in japan have), but didn't know he was into entomology (the study of insects) i wonder if that is the reason gohan loves bugs and studies them. he's even reading a giant book about them in in the garlic junior movie byakko watched with lumi today, but it isn't just a movie thing, as in dragon ball super he actually as an adult is still studying and researching insects in his scholarly pursuits

NY is similar. The few tornado watches I've "survived" have all been false alarms. The biggest danger from storms is always flash flooding Cool! I lived there for a few years. I'd love to go back (though I also want to see more of Europe)

i think they can cause a lot of damage, but mainly if they get close enough and are big enough, and the midwest is a ton of empty space, so while there are a lot of tornadoes, there aren't a lot of tornadoes that also happen to be at your house, i think. still hard to imagine living with that existential risk casually though i also might not know what i am talking about lol thanks yeah i can't help myself, i want to post more i love the concept of the tree of might. or shinseiju in japanese, divine spiritual tree maybe that's fine. i haven't posted clips in a while. i don't know if byakko or rena has posted a lot of them recently. hmm. i can apologize to lumi in the morning (also is only a few mb or so, we've done much worse but idk if it adds up too much over the course of years) if i could write a cool script and not sound stupid when i talk, it seems like it'd be fun to make some sort of dumb gushy DB film commentary/reflection series like whatever i wrote in the spoiler text, except good. maybe we're too easily entertained/impressed but i can't overstate how much joy it gives us i never heard of that before. probably not i guess. the basement just had several random ugly little rusty uhh what were essentially holes in the ground for water to drain into, but they just clog so easily, and when it rains hard, water from the backyard can pour down towards the house like a stream and start pouring down into the basement steps and through cracks in the wall of the basement steps, which leads to maybe under normal circumstances like an inch of water in the whole basement, but over the years it'd get exponentially worse for reasons idk why, and landlord had 0 interest in fixing anything well, the original landlord might have fixed it if he didn't die. he might be why it was never a big issue until TB was a lot older, because after he died, his evil gold digger wife became the landlord, and she was mean and angry and any complaints about the house falling apart would result in her threatening to raise the rent and at most sending over some random dude she doesn't even pay anything to check it out and maybe slap tape on something in rare random cases, have gotten weather alerts of a tornado in WV, but i've never actually seen one here. i have been told in the rare case one does spawn, they don't last long because of all the hills destroying them and not letting them get far also didn't know you lived in spain at one point. that's where miri used to live
-
My weather app once said a tornado was actively happening when I lived in Madrid. Not only does Madrid not get tornadoes, it was a clear day. It wasn't even windy.
-
yeah. tornadoes happen in other places, but they're relatively rare. two tornadoes in a week anywhere outside of north america is reasonable grounds to assume divine judgement that's awful. did you not have a functioning sump pump?

I just know they can cause a lot of damage and I may have over reacted because I forgot. Rain sounds like a lot to deal with. I think you're a little rough around the edges but definitely likeable! 😊 That looks so cool! 😁 Like a unnatural hybrid of tech and alien biology. Scary to think about.
