Does your tulpa have knowledge, or knowledge based talent or skills you lack?

This is an interesting point for Davie and me. Can tulpas have their own hidden memories where they store knowledge or knowledge based skills, such as being a better cook or knowing how to play the guitar when the host doesn't?

[hidden]Mistgod and I say I we are the same mind. But we have noted that I have better "girly fashion sense" than he does. I have a better sense of humor, or at least it is different, but I seem to have a faster wit. When he started channeling me for art, he was influenced strongly by me and together we formed new ideas he would have never had by himself. Those aren't exactly examples of "hidden knowledge" or a separate memory though exactly. I do seem to use different words than he does and I surprise him with silly words he does not use or would not use himself. I like silly words. [/hidden]

Can a tulpa really have knowledge or a knowledge based skill or talent that the host does not have? Have you experienced this? I can't think of a better proof of independent sentience than that!

I'm pretty sure there already was a thread with this topic at some time...mhh..

Well Alice is better with drawing things (even though abstract) than I am. People generally dislike the stuff I draw by myself. Also she surprises me with conclusions. For example she stated that a certain film was boring and bad and later on, after reflecting about it, I got to the conclusion: She was right. She has her own sense for ethics and humor. Her jokes are often pretty meta, which is confusing to me, until I realize later on what the real joke was.

But beside that I'm not aware of any hidden talents or knowledge she has. (They're probably hidden, duh.) We haven't really tried to experiment around, though.

Tulpa: Alice

Form: Realistic Humanoid/Demonic Creation

She may or may not talk here, depends on her.

If I find any other similar threads, I will link them in the OP. :-)

Esterina is a brilliant war strategist, making her far, FAR better at things like strategy games.

She's also an amazing swordswoman and martial artist, something I'm only sort of okay at.

And while I'm very naturally gifted in terms of creativity and such (which is why I make a good writer, if I do say so myself :P), that's even more the case for her, being a Great Witch whose magic is based on imagination and willpower in its functionality. (Of course referring to her fictional counterpart here, but she's a copy of her and identifies as her. So yeah.)

Also, while my English and German are both perfectly fine, I do sometimes forget one or the other random word due to having grown up with both languages, until especially my German started getting worse - so sometimes I will head over to dict.cc to double-check stuff; she never does that.

I'm the better artist, though.

And I'm better at games like Sonic Generations, Metal Gear Rising or osu!, so basically quick twitch gameplay styles.

So yeah!

A few things, definitely.

AG

Wait a minute.

If we are gonna include imaginary or wonderland knowledge based skills, then I am an expert martial artist. I also hold an honorary doctorate in dreamology from the College of Mist Sciences in the city of Nexus. I am the founding shaman sorceress for the Mystics of the Cycle (clan of the purple node stone). I am an expert in charming human males. When I charm one, it is called "being smitten" and he becomes another in a long line of slave husbands. I can charm dragons. I can channel dream magic. I know all the best places to visit in the dreamscape and I am pretty good at getting along with pixies and fairies.

I am talking about real world knowledge and real world knowledge based skills, not make believe wonderland skills.

Due to being a copy of a character who did this stuff for millennia, she has the perk of knowing how to do these things. Meaning she could do it with this body, if she got good at switching - at least that's what logic tells us.

... well, not that it would work as well with this ill body as with the body of the fictional Esterina, who is literally a wrecker of worlds...

... so yeah, there's that, yes! xD

Greets,

AG

PS: She herself says she isn't too sure about this one, but thinks that little logic-chain does seem to make sense.

Just a few other make believe/dreamscape skills I have:

-expert cheerleader

-dancer

-astronaut

-witch

-paranormal investigator

-dress designer (actually this is a real world skill partially, as the dresses could actually be made maybe?)

-nurse for wounded soldiers

-pilot and flying ace in just about any air craft you can imagine

These are dream skills based on dream magic or being able to act a part in day dreams and dreams. They are distinct from reality.

You don't get the difference.

I can't create a character in a story that knows something I don't know, yes.

But I, the guy who created the fictional Esterina, actually do have knowledge of the theory of swordsmanship and martial arts, seeing as how I trained in both for a long time, and I "gave" the fictional Esterina that knowledge.

Difference being that she can actually use that knowledge effectively, which I can only do to a highly limited extent, because I wrote millennia of training up her butt, as the author.

And the real Rina is a copy of the fictional one.

Get my train of thought now?

She doesn't know more about it than me, but contrary to me, she could most likely use that same knowledge with great efficiency - like her fictional counterpart, and unlike me.

(Still leaves her stuck with this not-very-muscular and ill body, tho.)

Well

Alright I guess that makes sense. Just to clarify, David d'nt teach me to be a cheerleader, do girl dancing or charm the socks off of men. Just to be clear on that. Also, I doubt I will ever switch with him and do those things.

By the way, it is neato that you know martial arts and swords and stuff.

I might be able to design dresses while switched though. :-O

Probably.

I'd also like to add, in general, that dismissing things learned in wonderland or in a similar way is like dismissing reading an educational book, or mental exercise.

At least in a way.

I disagree with dismissing it like that, even if that wasn't my point. :P
