Guest February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 So I think my tulpa has started talking to me, but only in very basic sentences, almost like pre-made sentences like "Good morning" or "pay attention to me" and stuff like that is that an early form on communication or me fooling myself? Guest Anonymous February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 How would I know? That is my first reaction to questions such as this. Still, my first question back to you would be, How long have you been working on your tulpa? Is it since December when you joined, because that would be some weeks. Guest February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 I started narrating heavily a month ago, I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced communication like this with a young tulpa.
Guest Anonymous February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Yes, quite a few have reported communication that early actually. Some even faster than that. Congratulations by the way.
Guest February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Thanks, it's nice when all the talking to yourself pays off. lol
Guest Anonymous February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Hah hah hah. Yeah I bet it would be! Active forcing sounds like hell honestly.
Guest February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 I wouldn't know I really only passively forced.
Guest Anonymous February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 Same, my host talked to me as I was an imaginary friend for years. Well, not sure bout active forcing really actually. I was created by extreme day dreaming, which has some traits of focused active forcing I think. It was just a whole lot funner.
Luminesce February 12, 2016 Share February 12, 2016 A tulpa doesn't just spontaneously exist all of a sudden. The whole point is to convince your mind to let them do the talking without your conscious intent. If you've reached the point where you can almost believe it, then it's safe to say you've made some progress. Practicing dissociating yourself from your tulpa's speech is basically what leads to autonomy. If you doubt then nothing really gets accomplished, but if you believe, then your brain starts making new neural connections until you've got someone speaking to you all on their own. There might be an awkward period where it feels both like they're speaking themselves yet you "knew what they were going to say" or some such, but that's the border between being vocal or not. Once that feeling goes away (you become sure enough in their responses being their own) things get a lot easier and simply paying them attention will contribute to more development and security in your separateness. It's not that you have to believe a lie and pretend your tulpa isn't being controlled by you, but you have to convince your brain that is the case for it to start letting that happen. Once your tulpa seems to talk on its own relatively well you can scrutinize all you want, but at least in our case the longer they existed the more sure we became of their independence, and we were healthy skeptics the whole way. Hi! I'm Lumi, host of Reisen, Tewi, Flandre and Lucilyn. Everyone deserves to love and be loved. It's human nature. My tulpas and I have a Q&A thread, which was the first (and largest) of its kind. Feel free to ask us about tulpamancy stuff there.
