I'm having trouble hearing my tulpa, so idk how to know if the tulpa is with me or not? I can't hear my tulpa as a voice in my head. Are there other ways to hear your tulpa than from an actual voice talking to you? Sometimes I get feelings or thoughts that I feel aren't mine. Could it be my tulpa's feelings/thoughts? I've read that you should just "let your tulpa talk", but what if I can't hear him/her?

I've also read that it's good to interact with your tulpa, everything from a couple of minutes a day to hours a day. I was wondering, how do you do this? What do you do with them? How do I know if my tulpa is there or not?

Sometimes I let my tulpa out in my body. It's like "I" change my way of talking, my body language etc, but it's still me in the body (me and my tulpa having some control I guess?). Am I doing this right if I feel like I "am" my tulpa? Is it really them then?

I can't have an actual conversation (yet), does this come with practice? I can talk and hopefully the tulpa will hear me, but I don't get any response. For example I might tell them about what I've done during the day or ask them a question but I'm not getting a feeling or thought as a reply (nor hearing a voice in my head).

Thanks for reading. All thoughts on this are very appreciated!

Welcome to the community! (Though that probably doesn't mean much coming from me since I've only been recently active! heh)

Most often yes. That's likely signs of communication. If you're getting feelings/thoughts, that you feel aren't yours, it could be the case. If you aren't sure that your tulpa is with you, just think about them and they'll become present, at least in the early stages.

You can spend time through visualization, imagining doing something together. I like to go on adventures with my tulpa. In the early stages, if they aren't capable of independent movement, then just keep them by your side. Maybe imagine that you are the characters in one of your favorite movies, for example.

I don't know if I have much merit to say, but it could be a form of possession/switching maybe? Maybe kind of like a half-possession. (I vaguely remember a member talking about this, something like lite-possession)

This most certainly comes with practice as well as development. To make sure my thoughts were being directed at Al, I would imagine him just standing around in blank space so I could drive at the same time and tell him about my day. When I was at home, I would imagine he was sitting next to me. Over time I could more clearly visualize him with ease, and it took less effort to do so. Just make sure that your tulpa is on your mind when you tell them about your day and what not. After some time, it will feel like you're speaking to somebody, and that they're listening and comprehending what you're saying.

Also, I'm just personally curious, when did you start your tulpa?

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.

Thanks for welcoming me! :)

I started my tulpa a couple of days ago.

So you think that if I visualize my tulpa being with me and us doing things together will make it "develop"? and also visualizing her when talking to her?

I found that this worked for me, and it's entirely possible that it will work for you. Go for it, it can only improve your results.
