I recently stumbled across dream machines.

From what I've read on the Wikipedia page it seems pretty interesting but it's not like I can get a hold of something like that so I found a flash version that might work just as good. The purpose of this post is, well, I want people to try forcing while using the dream machine. In the past I've read about it putting someone in a trance like state where they actually hallucinated vividly and sort of started dreaming, lucidly. Unfortunately, I don't have a source for that since that was quite a while ago.

Getting to the point, use this. http://www.netliberty.net/dreamachine.html And try forcing. I'm going to try it as well and report back my results. What I expect to happen is either a really vivid vision of your tulpa/wonderland or what ever. Or something even better. Honestly though, I don't know.

What does everyone else think? Anyone want to try it with me?

WARNING: Don't try this if you have epilepsy or something of the sort.

My eyes hurt. Nothing else. I only tried it for like five minutes though, don't know how long they expect you to do that.

I used to own an actual dream machine long ago when they were considered fairly popular. The claims of lucid dreaming are almost definitely bullshit, but trance states were pretty common. I almost only ever used it on psychedelics- which I'm sure had a lot to do with going into a trance, but I'm sure it works well enough while sober.

That being said, I'm not sure how effective the flash version is. I've had that page bookmarked for over a year now, but the problem I've seen with it in comparison to the real thing is frame rate stutters. The actual machine is very consistent, and the stuttering definitely has an affect on how well it works.

I just tried it for about 10-15 minutes with some binaural tones, but it made it too hard to force. Although I eventually stopped noticing it, the flashing was still too distracting to continue forcing. Maybe I'll try again later.

I tried your tones before, but I think it was lacking in certain areas. Most importantly is that there's not enough gamma frequencies. If I'm not twitching like a crack whore being electrocuted than it's not good enough for my ears.

With that in mind, I revised your tulpatone. You'll find a rather heavy gamma frequency with some relaxing ambient noises thrown in for good measure. I spent almost an hour on this shit. You're welcome.

dude, an epileptic seisure while dreaming would be like trippin balls in a bad way.

Lucid: I'm currently residing in Greenland, where bandwidth is costly and living conditions are extraordinarily high. Could you please make a cut of about 10 seconds or so and upload that? Alternatively, just describe the differences.

Sadly any cuts made would ruin it's intended affect. And it's effectively an entirely new tone with the intended effects that your tulpatone has. The largest difference is that I made the whole tone's grain roughly 10 decibels lower than yours so there's no spikes if played through inferior peasant 128kbps format. As stated, I've also added some relaxing ambient in the background only loud enough for your subconscious to pick up on it to relax the user even more. I pick up the tone to gamma roughly a quarter way through, but the beginning is almost entirely delta. The tone starts off at a reasonable level, but it gets a bit quiet at about 10 seconds, so I'd recommend turning your volume up a bit if you manage to download it. It's only 1.53 MB, so it shouldn't use much bandwidth to download it.

Really? I must've read the size wrong.

The reducing of the grain volume actually helps one focus better, at least on my part, and the gamma seems to really put me in a dream-state more than my other tones have managed to so far. Oughta make it a bit longer, though, as Pinkie complained about the tone cutting off too short and I had to do an A-B repeat for 1:39 hours. 22KHz is also disappointingly low, but not something major. If you're looking into experimenting with more phases, try adding an alpha at the end to reach a climax in the experience. There are some basic frequency explanations on the interwebs, so you might wanna have a look at those, too. Overall, good job! Hope you make more soon.
