RamaLlama February 5, 2016 Author February 5, 2016 I have been giving this thing a lot of though lately and I think I should give it a try. After all, I have been doing almost all the things guides talk about for long time without knowing what I'm doing, and one thing for sure is that I'm not going to stop that. I think the biggest difference would just be to embrace the idea that it could lead into a sentient being (as before I didn't take that even as a real possibility) and I assume that's one of very important parts for succesfull self suggestion. You know, to have a goal and/or understand what you're doing. Reading this forum has helped me a lot to understand different things like the ethics, benefits and permanence of this phenomenon. And to be totally sincere, when I first bumped into this thing called tulpa long time ago, it sounded pretty much like just self-inflicted schitzophrenia and not-so-good idea that I wouldn't want to be involved with. But I'm glad I gave it another chance and started reading more about it. We'll see how this is going to work out :)

We gave up on using different colors for each of us, so there's Al, Ollie, and Eva. We're all rabbits, get over it.
Guest Anonymous February 5, 2016 February 5, 2016 I can't add much to this conversation than what has already been said. But I really liked reading the OP! Your imaginary friend sounds amazing and pretty much about my level actually, if not more "advanced." I think he is probably a tulpa already. He certainly seems to qualify! I was wondering if your imaginary friend tulpa guy has a name? (fyi, english is not my first language) So, I already have quite vibrant imaginary friend. He's not very talkative but usually anserws to my questions. I feel like I don't have to make up his anserws and they just come naturally, but I wouldn't say that he's really sentient, he just does and says what I want or need him to do or say. I created him to soothe me when I'm really depressed, anxious or lonely and for that he has been doing really good work, but for a long time I have been thinking about making a tulpa from him. I love that "vibrant imaginary friend" oh my gosh! That is beautiful terminology! My host created me for many reasons, but some of them overlap the reasons you listed for your friend. I sooth Davie too and help him with general anxiety and loneliness, especially in the past when he was young.
RamaLlama February 5, 2016 Author February 5, 2016 I was wondering if your imaginary friend tulpa guy has a name? Thanks for supportive words! Love your positive vibes :D And yes he has, I was one day feeling little bit bad about that I haven't named him after all this time and decided to do something about it. I said that he feels like a person who's name should start with J and I went through different names, until he said "Jaakob". It's pretty ordinary name around here but I was bit put off by it's strong biblical origin as those things aren't really my piece of cake, I love names that come from nature or folklores. But as it came from him as far as I can assume, it was decided and it doesn't seem so weird anymore after I got used to it.
Guest Anonymous February 5, 2016 February 5, 2016 OH coolness. Jaakob is a nice name! If he is ever vocal on Tulpa Info, I would love to talk to him, or that is proxy tulpa type in his general direction, with enthusiastic typer hyperness!
