linear July 23, 2012 July 23, 2012 today morning i got an emotional response right after waking up actually i planned to do my first tulpaforcing session in a few days. at the moment i'm "officially" only training visualisation, meditation, trying to get into trance and putting together traits... becasue that took quite a while and i really wanted to start already i began to think about it, her traits and so on and becasue it sounded stupid to think in 3rd person of her. and becasue i began to feel something i didnt want to loose it which finally lead to what i experienced a few hours ago. this situation is kind of confusing, i don't even have any mental image yet where i can direct my thoughts or speach at. and should i continue with the traits or or would it be like telling someone he has to change or only do narration?
TulpaCouple July 23, 2012 July 23, 2012 His traits have already been forming as you've been thinking about them. Personality forcing is a way for both of you to understand who she is and to see her as herself rather than a random thing with no traits. You've probably already been thinking of her as a sentient being and imagining what she's like. I would still do full forcing sessions to help reinforce it. I would try to find the source of the emotion and imagine it as a small object--a ball,a cloud of smoke, a crystal, something. Find it and place it into the desired form of your tulpa. Let the tulpa know that this is her body she will inhabit to better communicate with you and herself. Start talking to HER and start forcing with her. A lot of people experience an influx of emotional responses very early on--headaches, true emotional feelings, tinnitus, even early experiences with a tulpa being vocal. I think when your tulpa first is 'born', it's a fairly emotional experience and it takes a bit for the tulpa to settle down and start to really grow and listen. Don't be surprised if your tulpa becomes a bit 'quieter' over the next few days, but if she continues, awesome. But yes, follow through with full forcing sessions.
Guest Albatross_ July 23, 2012 July 23, 2012 today morning i got an emotional response right after waking up Strong emotions are common upon waking. Most likely this has nothing to do with your tulpa. this situation is kind of confusing, i don't even have any mental image yet where i can direct my thoughts or speach at. IMO this is a common misconception. You don't direct your thoughts at something when you're forming the tulpa. Rather, think of it as defining an already existing being. The distinction is subtle but important. Obviously you'll want to direct speech and thoughts to it when narrating, though.
