Thanks for the input everyone.

I think one of the surest signs you have a sentient tulpa is to get a serious talking to about something you've fucked up. I'd go as far to say that you can't really appreciate having one until s/he's whipped you into shape over something. And yeah, it hits you like a ton of bricks; that's a good thing in the long run because it gives you much more certainty and a lot more closeness once you make up.

That's a very good way to put it. She's still a little distant from me right now though, but her personality kind of dictates that it would happen like that. I have to be careful with parroting also, she's taken to getting a little offended when i put words in her mouth.

Any idea what the demographic for artists with tulpae are? i looked at the draw board, and saw more than i would have expected.

I was explaining how I've doubted her sentience (this was a while ago), and how sorry I was, and how difficult this whole thing is for both of us, yadda yadda, generally feeling sorry for myself. She interrupts by sending a huge wave of happiness through my brain. I knew for sure she was sentient then. It was fantastic.

Interesting. Mine gets really distant when i doubt anything about her. But that emotion wave man.. i know what you mean.

Also, another question i have for people past/experiencing sentience: How do you effectively separate your tulpa from yourself?

I feel like if i could sever the part of the connection we have, she's be free to act independently.

Anyone else try anything like this? I've heard of people cutting marionette strings, but that was only of limited effect for me.

If you mean severing to prevent puppeting:

If you need to work on form without worrying about parroting try separating the "soul" of the tulpa from it's body. E.G. put the consciousness in an energy orb or whatever and work on the body. That way you know that any movement in the body comes from you.

Other than that and the marionette strings method there's really no surefire way to prevent puppeting/relinquish control over their body. Vandenreich's Prism helps some but a lot of tulpas just find it annoying.

Also sentience at 12 hours is extremely unlikely.

Well my situation is more or less similar. I'm getting ready to enter into an arts college. When i draw i try to focus on my tulpa, and most of the times i feel more confident, and i draw even better. Also i feel more motivated and see things more clearly when working on something complex.

About the sentience issue i have exactly the same 'problem'. I feel her distant and even fading away when i doubt of her, also the happiness feeling (which in my case sometimes felt like an orgasm around the limbic region of my brain, down to the medulla. Just amazing.). Anyways it doesn't seem like a sentience clue to me, neither. I'm not sure abour the alien feeling (i suppose it'd be something like 'woah dude, this was really really weird.. but sweet.') idk hahaha! Right now i'm trying hard to get a clear reponse from mine, something vocal.

Lately i was narrating and visualizing, both together during each session, but i've tried this method just before, and works much better for me. Allows to organize and focus more easily. I think i read something similar in one of the guides, but never truly tried. Too bad!

That's quite smart, and gives me a few other ideas as well. Will definitely give this a try, thanks.

Possibly. Still treating it as sentient just in case.
