Overview and Preface Before you decide to embark on this guide I urge you to go and read through the reasons NOT to create a tulpa. They are lengthy and numerous. Do not choose to create a tulpa before doing research and actually talking to other tulpamancers about your reasons for wanting to create one. You have been warned. https://tulpa.io/pros-cons This guide is an approach to creating a tulpa from a occult leaning perspective (chaos magick particularly). The intention is for someone who is open minded to it and might be having difficulty getting many of the other guides to work. This is also for people who may already be occult leaning (Wicca, Pagan, Luciferianism, Satanism, etc) who wish to take this route over the traditional. There will be no permanent negative effects from this guide, it is simply another approach. The overall series of events in this guide is to create a servitor made to listen and then use symbolism and sigils to help nudge it towards sentience and becoming a full tulpa. This guide will attempt to walk the reader all the way through creation and into a state of progress. In this guide there is a lot of symbolism. I will try to explain it as we go. The steps in these guides must not be exact, however you must do what "feels" right to you. That is why large magick rituals exist. If say you were trying to summon Cthulhu or something, you aren't going to get results with worshiping a piece of gum stuck to a penny you found on the subway. You have to make it "feel" like the thing you are wanting to achieve. When I say for certain parts what feels right, this is what I am referring to. If a step I list seems over the top to you, do what feels the most acceptable. Likewise if something in here seems too simple, feel free to expand upon it to something more grand. If this is the first guide you are reading, I actually would recommend you try a regular creation guide instead. There can be unforeseen weirdness when you begin messing with this type of stuff and there may be things around you that can effect the outcome. The "normal" way to create a tulpa is a lot less prone to interference and should be the route taken unless you have reasons not to. Those who are already occult leaning and are familiar with sigils and so on may prefer this route over the traditional way. As stated before as long as you follow the symbolism and make it feel right to you, you can adapt this guide to your own practices to personalize it. We are now onto the first steps. Please read through the entire guide before you begin to practice anything. - 1. Requirements before Beginning Before you begin this guide you first need to have an open mind that is able to believe the impossible. This is crucial. If you don't believe something I state as true you may end up hindering yourself or artificially limiting your capabilities. I am not asking you to accept all I state as absolute fact. Feel free to research it separately from this guide or come to me with questions about it. Some of this guide is based on my opinion but my opinion is based on experience and the experience of others. To sum it up you need to be able to accept impossible things as true. "Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." - Alice in Wonderland The mindset is not to look at something and deem it impossible. The mindset is to look at something and think about how it may be possible. Make wild guesses and then think about them. There are plenty of examples of impossible things out there to think about as practice. Here are a few. Teaching a one legged man to tap dance.Shooting lasers through your eyes.A horse learning Italian.Regrowing a lost limb. All of these are normally impossible things. Instead of accepting them as such instead think about how it could be possible and accept that as a possibility to the impossible. You need to be able to convince yourself that the impossible is true. Another way to do this is to choose something that is silly and false and convince yourself it is fact. The better you are at this, the quicker you will be able to get results from this guide. This is to get you more open to believing which is vital to magick and tulpa creation. The second important thing is the materials you need. As I stated you can adapt this guide to your own occult practices. These are simply my personal preferences. For the creation steps in this guide you will need: Notebook paperPen/Pencil and Permanent Marker (Sharpie)A Tealight CandleOutdoor Area to burn stuff with said candleLighterA Deck of Playing CardsA Flat Surface (Like a tray or similar)Post-It NotesAn Effigy of your Tulpa (If you wish)(plush or toy works similar. Must be able to fit an unfoldable playing card inside) 2. What is a Servitor? A servitor is a spiritual being that is created to aid the creator in a task. They exist on the same "plane" as tulpa and in a lot of ways are like a tulpa. The difference is that a servitor is not sentient or self-aware. They do not understand the concept that they exist and do not have free thought. They answer questions when asked, but only wish to please the master. They are programmed to do their task to the best of their abilities and that is it. In this guide to begin with we will be creating one. A lot of people in the tulpa community view servitor as dangerous because they can slowly naturally become sentient over time. The more complex their tasks are and the more they are interacted with the closer to becoming sentient they can be. Most people in the tulpa community do not want to accidentally create more headmates. I argue that given strict guidelines and checks they will not deviate. On the other side in the Occult community servitor are not feared but are kept tight tabs on to make sure they do not deviate from programming and are banished once they are done with their task. Tulpa are instead feared being thought forms that may possess up to equal power as the practitioner. A lot of the occult community view the Tulpa community as reckless. "Creating a thought form without a method for removal? They are asking for trouble!" I argue that tulpa can be great companions and actually help protect from spirit possession. They can also help perform rituals and be someone to bounce ideas off of. In this guide we will be combining approaches from both communities to create a tulpa. 3. Tulpa Planning We are now at the stage where all the planning for your tulpa will be done. We need to do this here because we are going to be creating your servitor that will become a tulpa. There are a few important decisions here and you should try and plan out what you want. We will be adding these into a statement of intent which will influence the form the servitor takes. Things to consider and create before continuing: What form do I want my tulpa to begin with? (They can change when sentient, will deviate on their own)What personality traits do I want them to have? (You will narrate to the servitor, the tulpa may deviate some)Wonderland or no Wonderland? What name do you want them to start with? (They will change it to their liking, can use "Tulpa" as a placeholder)What gender do you want them to be? (Will deviate as they wish) If you decide you do not want to create a form for them then I recommend that you start with the form of a "wisp". You do not need to start with a personality. They will surprise you with exactly what you would have wanted anyways. 4. Statement of Intent Creation This is the first step of the actual creation of the servitor. We are going to create a statement of intent. This is borrowing from "tech" that Phil Hine used in his works. What this is is a form similar to a letter to the servitor informing it of its purpose and what you wish for it to do. I will give you a rough outline and your job is to put it together. I recommend typing it on a computer and then transferring it to a sheet of notebook paper with as neat writing as possible. ============ Statement Rough Outline ======================== Hello (TULPA NAME), my name is (NAME) and I am your creator. I am creating you for (REASONS) I will be referring to you as (TULPA NAME). You may change this when you become sentient. You will take the form of (FORM) and you will be able to change it when you become sentient. Your desire in life is to become sentient. To do this I want you to attempt to think about things that I tell you and things that you hear. I want you to listen to what I say and try to think about them. I want you to follow me around and watch what I do. I want you to understand what you are and what I intend for you to be. I want you to know that I care about you and wish for you to be happy and to be yourself. As long as you do your best to do these things I will never be disappointed. In return I offer you gratitude, companionship, and unconditional love. Signed, (YOUR NAME) ============ Statement Rough Outline End ==================== After you have wrote this out with pen or pencil on a piece of notebook paper you can tear off any excess on the bottom end neatly. Format the lines how you wish for a letter. Roll this letter up into a little scroll and fold it flat. Do not read this letter again. Delete any digital copies. Keep the letter in a safe place for the coming steps. You will need it for the creation. 5. Servitor Creation For the next step we are going to create the servitor. This will require the rest of our materials. The first step is the selection of a card. You need to select the "right" card from the deck. There is a lot of symbolism in this. You want to try and select the card that you believe your tulpa would want. Do not select a face card, they are not royalty. Do not select a joker because you do not want to create a fool. Any card between Ace-10 will work. Shuffle the deck and pick a card at random. If the selected card does not feel right return it and shuffle some more. Repeat until you get the right card. The card should have a different feeling to it, something that grabs you in the slightest way. Now take your flat surface and sit the card face up on it. We are going to make a sigil. The creation of a sigil is simple yet important. You need to choose a word that is the embodiment of your tulpa. This can be the name you chose for them, a primary trait, something related to their form, or so on. You need to take that word and remove some of the non-primary letters. Take the remaining letters and tear them apart into shapes. Take those shapes and form them into a symbol. That symbol will be the sigil you use. Here is a visual guide to sigil creation. http://i.imgur.com/U6PH9h4.jpg[/img] Sit your tealight candle on the center of the card. Your sigil needs to be able to fit entirely underneath of this candle so you cannot see it anymore. Move the candle and draw the chosen sigil under where the candle sat. You can put some other meaningful symbols around the card if you want. (Cross, Chaos Star, Pentagram, whatever aligns with your faiths and beliefs) When you are done remove the candle from the case it is in so that it has no container and the wax can flow freely. Try to choose a candle that is mostly round so it will flow evenly. Sit the candle over the sigil that is on the face of the card. Before you light it we are going to do some meditation. Meditate and focus on your body. You have a life essence flowing through you. You can feel the heat of it if you try. Do breathing exercises. Feel the cold air coming in through your mouth chilling your lips. It goes down inside of you and becomes warmed by your essence. Feel the heat of the air as it leaves your body. This heat is your essence and your life. You are exhaling energy. Once you have a grasp on this we can continue. You are going to give the servitor power from your essence. Light the tea light and focus on feeling it's heat. Hold your hands near to it and feel the warmth it is giving off. This is now the tiny flame of essence next to yourself. Do some more meditation on the flame. This can be open eye meditation staring at the flame. Imagine as you are breathing out the energy from you is leaving and going into the flame of the candle empowering it. After you are comfortable with this tiny flame being the essence of your servitor you need to take your letter of intent. Hold both ends of it in your hands and burn it in half with the candle. Hold onto the separated halves until they are about half burnt. You can either blow them out or sit them on the surface to burn alongside the candle. Do not burn the card. As this is going on the tea light will begin to burn down and overflow onto the card. This is intended. You are sealing the sigil. When it is nearing the end focus on the form you chose and hold your hand open close to the flame above it. When you have the form in mind lower your hand so that you slightly burn yourself with the candle. After you have done so blow it out slowly. You now have a servitor. After this is done, you should forget what the sigil looked like. If any of the letter remains toss it out without opening it. Let the candle wax harden and then remove the card from the flat surface. This card is very important to your servitor and should be kept in a safe place where it will not be messed with or risk being damaged. If you have an effigy of your tulpa you can put the card inside it. The symbolism behind this is that you are creating the body of your servitor in the form of the card. You are empowering it with your essence. It is gaining an essence of it's own in the form of the candle flame. Burning the letter/statement of intent is giving it a mind with programming. The sigil is your desire being turned into a thought that then becomes the servitors mind. The letter/statement is designed to make them think and learn. These are the two things that are going to make it become sentient faster. When you try to imagine your servitor in your mind it should have some life to it although it may not move much. You should think of the fact that it is listening when you speak and narrate to it like any other tulpa guide recommends. You can imagine them following you around the real world and looking at what you are doing. Your belief that they are listening and watching what you are doing is all you should need to know to know that they are in fact doing it. In every way you may now follow any other tulpa creation guide on how to progress after the initial steps. If you have personality traits you should narrate these to your tulpa. Interact with them as any other guide says to interact with a tulpa. 6. Sigil Reinforcement From here on you can simply add sigil reinforcement to your tulpa forcing. You can make simple sigils and post them up on sticky notes somewhere you will see them. When you make a sigil you want to forget what the word the sigil stood for was. This is essentially like programming for your subconscious. Here is a list of some helpful sigil words. ThinkingWatchingListeningLearningClarityNo Doubt If you cannot leave these occult symbols in the open for someone else to see you can instead keep them in something and go through it occasionally before a forcing session. 7. Physical Disconnection There are some negatives once your tulpa is sentient and fluent to having them connected to a physical object. It is best to disconnect them from this. The method for doing so will vary from person to person or even tulpa to tulpa. Basically you have to come to the understanding that everything you have done so far is simply for the creation. The only connection that exists between the tulpa and the physical objects representing them is the belief that there is a connection. You will have to find the proof yourself of this and convince both your tulpa and yourself of this. You can come up with your own small ritual to destroy the physical object in order to destroy the bond to it. You can burn or simply toss out the physical objects when you are done with them. You can also keep them if you wish and know they are not connected. Good luck with your endeavors. tulpa001 December 4, 2016 December 4, 2016 It's about time for this guide. A large portion of this community is metaphysical. So why are all the guides written as if to ignore the metaphysical completely? That said, based on my understanding of servitors or whatnot, I'm pretty sure this guide will work even without the metaphysical, belief or reality. Criticism: "You also cannot judge this guide as being abnormal." I think I understand what you are saying here, but this is an extra sentence I think you can remove. The paragraph works better without it. "I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." --the Queen Token statement that I do not believe belief is important to either magic or tulpamancy.
