Tulpamancy: The Key to Symbolic Healing? Professor Luhrmann's Thoughts [Video]

I was able to have a quick chat with Stanford Psychology and Anthropology Professor Tanya Luhrmann and get her thoughts on how I improved my anxiety by creating a tulpa as an anxiety guardian.

Turns out that my experience is related to an already established psychological phenomena: symbolic healing. Tulpas may even be the mechanism mental health researchers have been looking for that causes one to fully believe in the symbol!

Longer discussion coming soon :)

You didn't sound very well in the last part :( Kinda like you were stressed out or something... Really hope you are alright

Anyway, always a pleasure to hear "science" correlations with tulpas :D

I will never be willing to be mean. Please tell me if I was, or if my English was wrong.

I always want to learn, and understand more things !

I can see how my reaction at the end could be misinterpreted; I was just laughing at the absurdity of an imaginary calm shot being more effective than most professionally upheld therapies ^^`

Happy to read that ! Almost sounded like a bit of "ticking" so I was a bit worried :(
