lottieplus3 January 22, 2022 January 22, 2022 I've started to create a tulpa, Anastasia 'Tasya', and essentially filling out a character sheet and doing moodboards. Has anyone else used thispersondoesnotexist.com to find a face to build from? I have a 'starting face' (I have aphantasia so having a physical image makes things easier) and will be working on our inner world, editing her, and so on. I've got another tulpa in mind too, but I don't know how he'd fit into the same inner world as Tasya. A couple of questions: Would it be weird to have a child tulpa? How many tulpas do you have? Should I fully-form Tasya before working on forming another? Anyway, just to introduce us: I'm Lottie (the host) I'm 28 and I live in England. My pronouns are it/its. I first heard about tulpas when I was 10/11 or so and attempted to create one, Sadie, but it only lasted a few months. I also had a few vaguely formed tulpas in my teens but again, I don't think I put enough effort in or understood much. Anyway: I love spy novels/films, ball jointed and reborn dolls, Star Trek, my cats, hotels and a good pub quiz with friends. I sleep a lot, but usually during the day - I'm a night owl! & Tasya. 28. They/Them. I hate introductions. My moodboard is attached. Uh. I age with Lottie, I'm aroace and generally not much of a 'people person'. I have an albino hognose snake named Kali (like Linux) and spend most of my time in front of a laptop screen. My interests are: information and cyber security, snake husbandry, physics - before I watched Hackers (1995) at the age of eight I wanted to be an astronaut. [Also, how do you create/edit your signature? 😅 I can't seem to find the option, do you need a certain amount of posts?]
TurboSimmie January 22, 2022 January 22, 2022 Welcome Lottie and Tasya! 😁 4 hours ago, lottieplus3 said: Would it be weird to have a child tulpa? Thankfully we have a thread about that! 4 hours ago, lottieplus3 said: How many tulpas do you have? I am a tulpa and it's just me and my host. It works for us, though some people have found happiness with larger systems. 4 hours ago, lottieplus3 said: Should I fully-form Tasya before working on forming another? In my opinion, yes. At least let Tasya become fairly mature and developed, then ask them about their opinion on the matter. Etna January 24, 2022 January 24, 2022 Hello from another host and Tulpa on Plague Island! 👋 We looked at thispersondoesnotexist.com when you mentioned it, but it was not suitable for us. We tried Artbreeder.com instead and poked around with a few different images and I'm super excited to finally have a picture, as before the image used as his character's faceclaim was met with a "that's the guy that would play me on screen, it ain't what I actually look like". But imagining the face of someone you've never seen a photo of before is difficult, so now I have something more concrete to build on. Thank you so much for the reminder! Hey, the hair still ain't quite right, and there's a distinct lack of a hat, but I'll allow it. 😁 "Would it be weird to have a child tulpa?" That's up to you. A Tulpa can take any shape, from a ball of light to an animal, or a mythological creature, or a human, or object, or whatever. Why not a child? :) "How many tulpas do you have?" One. Any more I think would run the risk of feeling too crowded! Plus we got a good thing going on here. Don't need an audience. "Should I fully-form Tasya before working on forming another?" We agree with Simmie on this one. Develop Tasya more first, then you can make the decision together. Remember that you're all sharing the same space now and will all be interacting with each other. You don't ask a friend to move in with you without first discussing it with your current housemates, so to speak, as they will also be sharing their space with them. Creating more Tulpas will have consequences for the both of youse and your relationship going forward, so keep that in mind. It ain't just you anymore. Doc (she/her) = Host Franklyn (he/him) = Tulpa
