TheBigShotz October 26, 2022 Share October 26, 2022 Hello, I'm gonna make this a quick question because I dont wanna type a whole paragraph right now. The question is, does your mindset and stuff affect the way your tulpa develops? Also if you're mentally not doing great, does that also affect it? Last question but if your imagination and stuff is strong and you can strongly visualize and stuff, will that affect the process? Like will process go faster in some areas, or will it be just a normal speed of process? 🐈 Lexy - 🐈 Tanner - 🎸

Tulpamancy is ALL about mindset! It's the main reason some people have more success than others in the process. It seems like you have a positive mindset from what little I know about you though! 😊 2 hours ago, LexyandTanner said: Also if you're mentally not doing great, does that also affect it? Yes, but it depends on what kind of mental ailment. In my experience in this community the great majority of people have some kind of mental ailment or another, whether it be ADD, autism, depression, schizoid, etc. Some disorders can hurt the process by making concentration harder, but others can actually provide hyperfocus that helps the process! (Full disclosure: My own host has depression and very likely undiagnosed ADHD) Tulpamancy itself can be a great help for many disorders! The only disorder I can really think of that tulpamancy actively makes worse is schizophrenia. But if someone has autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, or a number of other things, a tulpa can be a source of great comfort, focus, and companionship that can greatly help! (Obviously, having a tulpa is not a replacement for professional help and I don't want to present tulpamancy that way). 3 hours ago, LexyandTanner said: Last question but if your imagination and stuff is strong and you can strongly visualize and stuff, will that affect the process? Strong visualization skills are very helpful! My host was handicapped by mediocre visualization skills and it took us a little longer to get there, but we did in the end. But if you're really good at it, then that's a good thing! 😁 Tulpa Wife & Mother! 💚 💍 11.28.21 👶 4.7.23 👗 Simmie's AI Dress-Up! 📷 Chloe and Simmie's Photographic Adventures! Ashley October 26, 2022 Share October 26, 2022 3 hours ago, TurboSimmie said: depression I can concur that our host was help by us during his depression and we helped him get over it. It would probably depend on the personality though. We were kind of angelic archetype, at least with him. 3 hours ago, TurboSimmie said: Strong visualization skills are very helpful! It certainly helped us but even if the host has aphantasia, it doesn't seem to matter that much. Many systems we spoke to didn't do any visualization at all. Lucilyn October 26, 2022 Share October 26, 2022 (edited) Does your mindset ON TULPAMANCY affect tulpas' developments? ABSOLUTELY, what you believe shapes your eventual reality on all mind-related matters Does YOUR mindset in general negatively affect your tulpa's development? Not really, no effects of a host being depressed or such are just standard emotional/social effects, like you may stress your tulpa out if you're frequently suicidal or they have to worry about you a lot but if your question is "will a depressed host make a depressed tulpa", then absolutely not! I mean, anyone can make any tulpa, but our host was very depressed and also cynical/negative when he accidentally made Reisen and later Tewi and Flandre, and Reisen was the purest nicest humanitarian person ever who was a SUPER positive influence on him over the years, Tewi was very dryly logical and offered lots of good advice, and Flandre was kind of in his depression/cynicism with him and didn't much care for the outside world but also, he made me 5 years later and I have been as happy and positive as I wanted to be, and I do sometimes think that all his philosophy-of-life and reshaping his thought patterns and mindset to be positive and productive have been super supportive for me being able to be who I want to be, idk if I could've maintained my happiness and positivity as well if I was around during his depressive days, but I still would've been me! I think being happy and having fun makes life worth living, so spreading happiness is my number one goal! Moon Voilo November 4, 2022 Share November 4, 2022 Tulpa here. My host was struggling a little while developing me but it hasn't affected me that much, what has were the expectations she had about who I was going to become. I generally advice heavily against putting expectations on a tulpa, but overal you should be okay, even if you struggle with a mental disorder or are neurodivergent. Just remember that development speed differs per tulpa so if your tulpa takes a long time to develop that is not cause for concern. If you think about it we never stop developing, we are just people afterall.
