Alters AND Tulpa's integrating??

Does/Did anyone else have OSDD/DID too?

I believe I (host) had a form of OSDD (undiagnosed throughout life, everything was blamed on the autism) my 'alters' were always 'versions of me'  however my Tulpa's have never been. They have almost always been 'changelings' that can switch between forms which obviously as a child I thought were imaginery friends. (Only Lena has always been human)

I was not friends with my 'other versions of me' per se because we never all fronted together I was either 'this-me' or 'that-me' etc  usually triggered out and beyond my control, but our Tulpa friends knew of us all, although we may have had favourites when younger ..eg our youngest alter may have always imagined our Tulpa as Aslan or Winnie the Pooh but to an older one they may have been 'Spock' from Star Trek.

Recently though we've had a new experience...there were 2 child alters left on the inside who had not yet re-integrated with me as the others had after peri-menopause finished. A few days ago they completely disappeared ...they have gone missing a few times before and I never made the connection that they could never be found on the inside when 'Inca' was at the front in human form as 'Jess'. ..it seems they have been experimenting before decided to commit!

So technically Jess isn't just Inca as a human she has become a new Tulpa ...who has the personality and interests of the younger two when in human form but still carries Inca's beliefs and abilities as our Spirit Guardian!

TLDR:  Has anyone else with both had alters and Tulpa's ....had 'alters' chose to integrate with one of your Tulpa's rather than re-integrating with the host?

I think its because they wanted to remain seperate from 'adult me' plus acquire the changelings ability to be able to 'be anything' (if only on the inside). it would explain Jess's more child-like persona when in human form.

I don't have tulpas, but I have had fragments and parts merge with other members of my system, which is close to what the TL;DR is saying.

[Lena] I think the child parts didn't want to integrate with the older parts as maybe they felt they wouldn't get to have fun anymore with fantasy stuff if they were 'front stuck' amongst a pile of adult fragments?...Maybe they felt the Changelings/Tulpa's got to have more fun than the human parts that had been created from trauma.

[Lily] It's interesting how collectively they have become one person, its difficult for me to see that looking at myself but I now see myself as feeling in different moods than different alters been up front.  The only ones as feel as seperate from myself are Lena and Inca/Jess.

I don't see Inca and Jess as two different Tulpa's they are the same one spirit but she wants us to call her by her old name when she's in animal form but she will use Jess when she is in human form and out front with me.  We've told her that maybe confusing for people on here reading our posts!  ..as people don't seem to want to read lots these days.

Similar to what I went through, I think. I don't talk about my parts here anymore because people here don't really understand because they haven't had experience with that kind of plurality.

I guess if you have any kind of dissociated part its possible for two or more of them to blend or integrate regardless of where/what they originated from?  I think I saw ....was it on your personal progress report?..the term ..'multigenic'?  (apologies if I've got that wrong we sometimes remember we've definitely seen something but can't remember where we saw it)

Once the brain is capable of compartmentalising things to that degree I guess new forms will fairly easily create themselves. our remamining Insiders have just decided they idenify with the term Tulpa rather than Alter. It makes sense though if some are created from trauma and that trauma is resolved they will re-integrate. I just didn't expect one's previously seen as an alter created from trauma to choose to integrate with a non-trauma part just to remain seperate from the adult host, given they were child alters I guess we didn't expect they'd understand enough to know what they were choosing!

'Jess' has announced now that Jess will be her permanent Tulpa name in either form and the name Inca now only refers to her old physical body so when we use that name we are talking only. about when she was our dog in that specific physical body so I will change our signature. It seems getting the 'Petsie' done of her previous form has helped with closure.

I now have a very specific take on terms like "multigenic", but personally I don't think labels matter, and a lot of people put way too much stock into labels because of the whole endogenic vs traumagenic debate. I'm guessing you haven't read my entire PR, the majority of the first parts I don't believe in anymore.

It is possible for any part to blend and integrate together, regardless of where they're from. Theoretically, parts means that they're part of the same whole. In my experience, all that's needed for parts/people to blend together has been some degree of similarity.

Yes. The double-edged sword.

To my knowledge, child alters can be far more knowledgeable than actual children, given that it tends to be more like they're stuck at that age vs actually are that age (bad way of putting it but whatever). I have had trauma-formed parts merge with non-trauma formed people before. In some ways, (depending on the part) it is helpful because they no longer feel locked into their role and trauma.

HEY THERE,

Thanks for sharing your experience. I haven't personally had alters integrate with a tulpa, but it sounds like a unique development. It makes sense that the child alters might choose to merge with a tulpa if they want to stay separate from the adult host and enjoy the changeling ability.

It seems they definitely did ... now the full integration is complete ....  Jess only feels one personality wise now but from our perspective she has the personality and interests of the littles when she's in human form (sweet, young, innocent just wants to play fav games, watch fav tv shows, eat fav foods) but an older wiser more protective persona when in animal form.  As age is irrelevant to Changelings she can age-slide when in human form and can now front independantly having acquired the ability from the littles who could also age-slide and front independantly.

We've just never had a 'version of me' alter ever permanently integrate with a Changeling!
