Char: We watch a lot of videos from this YouTuber "Answers with Joe". He does a lot of science education and oddities of life mixed with humor. In this video he documents about "split-brain Surgery and how people that underwent it has odd differences in their perception and response to the world. Thought it would be an interesting topic tulpamancy ;)

Edited: to add the link of the video in this OP. the link is also referenced further down in the conversation, and is the SAME video.

I thought by title there was going to be a link to the video you mention....  anyway. we found alot of info on how to work together by studies on conjoined twins and how they learn to work the body together and communicate with each other..in some cases telepathically (where they're joined at the head) and able to see what the other is seeing and know what they're thinking...

They can also control each others limbs or their own limbs and turn these things on and off. It seems these particular twins share a 'Thalmic bridge' in the brain.

It explains it here at 7.22 of this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1Mac4FeKXg

We also followed a set of older twins they aren't joined at the head but only have one arm and one leg each so have to share one side of the body each to be able to move (as they are more like one body with 2 heads whereas the other younger twins have fused heads but a full body each) we first learned possession of a limb from these older twins by learning to control one hand each with one half of a joycon in each (on switch) and typing together.

We made the fastest progress after discovering the 'Thalmic Bridge' in the brain was the key to being able to feel and experience co-consciousness. But I think it also helped that I (host) have had autism all my life and have alters that the brain already perceives as 'seperate to this-me'. I also experienced a stroke affecting that region in the past.

There is still a clear difference between my alters and my Tulpa's..  Alters were just clearly 'different versions of me' that were triggered out at different times like severe mood swings..  My Tulpa's are based on someone else entirely who did exist in my world once who then went on to develop into fully sentient Tulpa's...unlike alters who only come out one at once ... Lena & Tinks can co-host simultaneously with whichever 'version of me' is at the front.

While I have been aware of the concept of tulpamancy for years, I found this particular video remarkably insightful in guiding me toward the decision to create a tulpa, along with other content I had encountered. I was also familiar with the idea of the thalamic bridge connection, but the level of detail in the video, along with the questions it raised, offered me a deeper understanding of how the brain may not be a single unified entity but rather a collection of interdependent components interacting with one another. If the simple act of severing an organ can result in the two hemispheres of the brain functioning as separate "beings," each experiencing reality from its own distinct perspective, it seems plausible that one could mentally construct a separate entity that forms its own thoughts and processes sensory input in its own way.

While I recognize that the show is more focused on Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) than tulpas, the concept still resonated with me. I am unsure whether I will achieve the level of imposition, switching, or parallel processing depicted in the show. Additionally, I do not harbor any delusions of grandeur or unrealistic expectations about societal change. Rather, the appeal lies in the idea of forming a close relationship within one's own mind—an entity with whom you can converse, share thoughts, or even play games. Such a companion would share experiences alongside you and have an intimate understanding of your feelings, offering a unique connection. While we can share aspects of ourselves with others, we cannot share our entire being—something that might be possible with a tulpa.

Where is this quote from?  Neither myself or OP said this in our posts above????

Honestly, the latter part of my message was more related to my personal experiences with tulpaism and less connected to the current topic at hand. The first portion of my text directly addresses the video linked above, so I can remove the second half if necessary.

Edit: Have, in fact, done so.

its ok I just couldn't work out the connection between the post and what was talked about previously ..I just googled Mr Robot and the description of the program doesn't mention DID. Just mentions he's a cyber security engineer and hacker and I'm trying to figure out the connection.(having never seen the program). ..between that program and the 2 video's in the links.

I placed it in a spoiler to avoid revealing key details of the show. Although I tried not to give too much away, it could still potentially spoil some aspects for those who haven't seen it. Anyone who has already watched the show would recognize the reference, but I wanted to be cautious not to unintentionally spoil it for others.
