In my experience, its really hard to pin one or two guides as the most helpful. Though they are some guides that could use improvement (or rather an update.) I generally read everything i could about tulpas and from there derived a way to approach the tulpa phenomenon.

 

I read the faqmans and irish guides, as well as every article and lurked a ton on the forums. Many things like hour counts i discounted because of what i learned on the forums and such, so if i ONLY read the guides i may have had a much harder time. I don't know, just my thoughts.
