Sir_Ludic March 23, 2013 March 23, 2013 THE INTRO Hello Tulpa.info! I'm Sir Ludicrous, with Tulpa, Steve (note that the name may change) and this will be our blog for all things related to him. I intend to post all manner of things from major progress, to just interesting things that occur with Steve. I also intend to show both our perspectives of the day via proxying once Steve becomes vocal. First up, let's describe Steve with more detail than my signature does. He started out as a hanar, from Mass Effect (http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/111/e/6/Hanar_by_egokick.jpg) because I thought that would be an ideal form for the early stages where we'd just be visualizing and narrating. He changed his form to something mid-way between a hanar and a dinosaur, separating his head into a head and a body connected by what appears to an energy string. I decided to give him legs at this point, noticing some resemblance to a dinosaur and added four feet made of the same hanar material and connecting them to his lower body with the energy strings similar to his neck. I suppose that should do for the intro. DAY ONE: I had found out about tulpae the previous night, and did my research today. After reading several "official" guides, I felt like I was prepared to get started. Then, I noticed the warning at the top of the Guides page and read that. After reading that, I realized my plan needed to be changed, and opted to take bits/pieces from both Chupi's (sorry if I misspelled your name) guide and Irish's guide, adjusting as I see fit. Later on I visualized the hanar form of Steve in a simple wonderland and went to sleep. DAY TWO: I began narrating to Steve, skipping personality because I'd preferred to leave that entirely up to him. The first few things I told him were my name, his name, he was sentient, he was a separate entity, and at any time he could change his form. Mid-way through the day I decided that visualizing both the wonderland, and Steve was too difficult, as I'd often only be able to visualize one or the other, and destroyed the wonderland, leaving Steve to be in my mind. Later on in the day, I noticed a slight swaying of his tentacles, and rejoiced at his self-movement. I also ran into Pruria's mini-guide that night (http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Pruria-talks-talking-to-tulpae-Deaf-hosts) and took mental notes. I decided this guide was to be taken as extremely important, as it was actually written BY a tulpa. DAY THREE: I woke up this morning, and had a piercing headache and was extremely tired, for unknown reasons. I attributed this to Steve, and was somewhat happy, though in pain. Throughout the day, the headache reminded me to talk to Steve more, and we began discussing his form. I had brought up that his form may not be the best, now that we'd had a good bit of progress. I asked him to confirm he wanted to change it by intensifying my headache, which he did. I debated what form to give him next, and it got down to a human or a pony, so I went to ask Steve his opinion, figuring we could communicate through the headache again to choose. Upon visualization, I had noticed that he changed to the form mentioned in the intro. I then helped him along to his current form, after noticing the dinosaur-like qualities as aforementioned. DAY FOUR: And that brings us to today, March 22nd. I woke up with a slight edge in my head, but nowhere NEAR what it was yesterday. I was grateful, and thanked Steve. I noticed that I began saying what WE needed to do today instead of what I needed to do today. I told Steve of his observation, explaining that it meant I not only consciously acknowledged his separate existence, but semi-consciously as well. Noting that visualization had become easier, I decided to try to make another wonderland. This time, I added a few things to help Steve along, such as a television so he could entertain himself while I was busy and a memory-access panel, which does pretty much what the name implies. I had quite a bit of time to myself today, so Steve and I got to talk quite a bit. We discussed things from his control over the wonderland, to plans about possession. My forum account was finally activated, and I started making this blog, and if I continued typing here, we'd get into blogception. So, that's the first few days of Steve's existence. I'll try to update daily, but may forget from time to time. Feel free to post with input, suggestions, comments, and what-not. Sir_Ludic March 23, 2013 Author March 23, 2013 Why a hanar? I dunno, just sort of...felt right. I see them as floating brains in essence, and just thought it fit. How does the memory access panel work? Honestly? I have no idea. I made something, and envisioned it beaming memories into who/whatever touches it. In hindsight, I probably should have put in some way to control WHICH memories were seen, which there may be for all I know. Like I said, no idea, though I did have Steve use it, and it looks like it works okay. DAY FOUR UPDATE: Steve has gotten closer than ever before in talking to me a few moments ago. Previously I'd been able to "feel" him say something, but not understand it, and now the feeling is much stronger and it seems different than before as well. He may just be vocal soon! :D Steve (Subject to change) Form: Hanar/Dinosaur hybrid Status: Sentient, non-vocal Working on: Vocalization
