ThunderManiac March 24, 2013 March 24, 2013 So I want to create a Tulpa, and I thought doing a progress report would help me. She doesn't really have a name yet, I mostly refer to her as 'you' when I talk to her. She also doesn't have a form yet either, I think of her as a feminine silhouette that I can't look at directly. I started working on her personality, but I found out that I have a hard time forcing for more than about 30 to 45 minutes, because I can't concentrate after that. I narrate to her a lot, and I can kinda feel like she is next to me while I narrate, so that helps. I'm going to post more when something important happens. Don't be afraid to comment guys, it would really help me.
Guest Anonymous March 24, 2013 March 24, 2013 Yep. Continue along this line. I usually force for that period of time too because i get bored after a bit xD Uhhh...keep going.
ThunderManiac March 25, 2013 Author March 25, 2013 I tried to force this morning, but I couldn't continue after 10 minutes, I'm having a really hard time concentrating, I might try some concentration exercises. I'm also not sure if I do it the way that works best for me, I basically sit down, think of my tulpa and tell her what traits I want her to have, but after a while, I just start repeating the same 5 traits for 30 minutes. Question: How can I improve my forcing method?

"When I made my tulpa, I knew when I was done forcing her personality because I was repeating myself a lot." -Link Deluded myself into believing my imaginary friends were real, then deluded myself into thinking they weren’t. Whatever the case, the OG gang’s still here: Host: fennec (they/them) Tulpas: Alex (he/him) and Kayleigh (she/her) Delete all memories of those who know my awkward past
Lacquer March 25, 2013 March 25, 2013 How many traits do you have? How do you force a trait? Do you use visual symbolism while saying the trait? When explaining the trait verbally, what things do you include? If you typed up everything you say and think about that trait in context of your tulpa, how long would each trait's description be?
ThunderManiac March 26, 2013 Author March 26, 2013 I forced for about 15 minutes today, it's not much, but still better that nothing. How many traits do you have? How do you force a trait? Do you use visual symbolism while saying the trait? I have about 20 traits, but when I look at the list of traits I made, I think most of them means the same thing. When I force a trait, I sit down and talk to my tulpa, telling her how those traits affect her, maybe visual symbolism would help me. When explaining the trait verbally, what things do you include? If you typed up everything you say and think about that trait in context of your tulpa, how long would each trait's description be? I think that's part of the problem, I don't talk about a trait for very long, if I would type everything I say about a trait, it would be very short. When I force a trait it goes like this: You are this because that and it make you do that. After that I have no idea what to say about that trait and move on.
Lacquer March 26, 2013 March 26, 2013 Maybe you could make more traits and organize them as traits and subtraits. Read up on as many personality guides as you can; they help.
ThunderManiac March 27, 2013 Author March 27, 2013 Again, I only forced for 10 to 15 minutes, the more I do it, the more I find it hard to concentrate. I started reading a manga to her, I thought it could be fun. I might start visualization soon, I think it's going to be easier for me.
ThunderManiac March 28, 2013 Author March 28, 2013 Today I started visualization, and it was way easier for me. I did it for about 30 minutes, but I didn't feel like I had a hard time keeping my concentration. The way I did it is I went into my wonderland, witch is a place where I used to go camping when I was young, and modeled her out of some kind of clay-like material. I created each body part individually, then put her together. After she was complete, i put skin on her to make her look human and not like a statue. Then, I imagined hair growing on her so she wouldn't be bald. I finally dressed her and I took a photo with my mind, to help me remember what she is like. the 'photo' is still a little fuzzy, but it's a start.
ThunderManiac April 2, 2013 Author April 2, 2013 I only forced once since last time, because I didn't really have time alone, with Easter and all that. But I feel bad for not doing it, so I will try to do it more. nothing special happened, that was a boring update on my progress report.
