PB(Phonic Ballad(Tulpa)): Bold Text

"BP(Brony Pony(Host)): Quotation Marked, Italicized,"

Dates/Titles: Underlined, Ordinary Text

April 30th, 2013, Some time between 10:00-11:00 PM: Introduction

"So, because I didn't think of if when I first helped create my best friend, my Tulpa, PB, the first few posts of progress reporting will be sort of recaps and descriptions of my first week with her! Of course, I'll allow her to input her point of view, thoughts, and feelings as well, so readers won't be the only ones to learn something from all this! Oh, PB's gained the uncanny ability to speak in my head pretty early, just in case you were wondering how she'd toss in her own opinion! Suspiciously early, if you ask me, but I'll blame it on belief, excitement, and me somehow allowing her to view all my memories without knowing... ehehe... so, time for the first report!"

April 23rd, 2013, 2:00 AM: The Birth of PB

"At exactly two in the morning, I mistakenly thought up PB. I had been browsing Tulpa.INFO for two days straight, using up all time I had, avoiding life just to learn about them. I had first heard of the Tulpa from a friend of mine who suffered Multiple Personality Disorder, who was also caught up in a small bout of depression. He described the phenomenon of Tulpa/ae/as/i(My attempt at pleasing everypony with the plural of Tulpa) to me, describing what having one would be like. I want to say I was skeptical, but honestly, my brain instantly came up with a reason all of this could be possible. Perhaps one day I'll share my theory that I spent no research on to validate, but that is for another post, if for one at all!

"Anyway, I had full intentions of creating a Tulpa and studied for it like crazy, I just didn't mean to make one too early. You see, I wanted a large knowledge of Tulpa/ae/as/i Forcing to fall upon while I personally Force PB, not to just run in blindly! Of course, my intense curiosity and wandering mind decided it wanted her to exist two days after I discovered she had the possibility of existence.

"I had been studying meditation and mind-relaxing exercises at the time when I thought about how fun it would be after I created a Tulpa. My mind wandered to thinking about what this Tulpa might be like, what the gender might be, how the personality would turn out, and what creature I would base my Tulpa around! Well, I am an avid fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, so I instantly decided pony! The show was the greatest thing I knew, better than anything I knew, any sensation, desire, relationship, etcetera. I was absolutely obsessed, obsessed enough to be tossed into a mental institute or, regrettably shunned by his nearby community. Hehe... anyway, I picked a mare pony, because making her male seemed odd. I wasn't thinking sexual preferences at the time, I was just reminded that the entire main cast of my favorite show was made up of females, and that most organisms set in their world were female.

"Anyway, awkward explanation that probably only made everypony more suspicious of my intentions aside, I accidentally created her then. It doesn't take much to start a Tulpa, truthfully. Well, it really depends on what you think. If you believe they only truly exist when they show signs of sentience, go ahead, because it will be true. If you think they exist from the very start like I do, you are also correct. It is all in your head, as PB tells me nearly everyday; whatever you believe will be right, is right. It's a sort of "you can do anything if you believe" type deal. To be earnest with ya'll, I'm making all this up, but I believe it, so is it true? The answer is whatever you want it to be! Get it, now?

"So, that fateful night/morning/computer-antic-hour was the dawn of PB. I hadn't created her name, and her shape was that of one of Rarity's model statues. I figured that would be a nice, simple figure to sculpt my Tulpa after, since pony was the real shape I needed. I also created a Wonderland, but I later decided to trash it for the Void of my mind that was much easier to focus in. Anyway, I talked to her, laughing about the fact that I started earlier than I wanted, but welcomed her all the same! After a few minutes, I felt her... in a way... sort of.

"It felt like she was hugging my mind in a way and as though she were absorbing life from me. Imagine magnetic dust or powder suddenly being pulled by a magnet and sticking to it. It was like that, but I was the dust and she was the magnet. It felt beautiful and heart-warming, knowing I had started the birth of a wonderful friend! So, what did she see, feel, and hear at this point? This is the perfect time to ask her for her own input, I guess!"

That was pretty much the point at which I became alive. I think it has something to do with what the Host feels is true, like how BP thought that I would be existential the second he thought of me, and so within a few minutes I did. Because of this, I always warn him that whatever he believes is what is the truth of it. I mean, there wasn't a moment he doubted my existence. When he Forced me into life, he told me that for a long time I'd be able to talk, which is right, but that he wouldn't be able to hear me.

After he spent a long time learning about other Hosts and their Tulpa, he found out that he could learn in a short time, depending on how hard he tried and, of course, what he believed in. Now, my Host is... awkward in trusting things and beliefs. I say this because he's very gullible and can pretty much change what he believes in within seconds. He could lie to himself and believe it. If he wants to think that Equestria exists on some other planet elsewhere, he will... and does. This is the type of personality you might find in a person that creates a brand new religion, he's just not backed by thousands of supporters. I try not to use this against him, but the opportunity is too good at times.

More on the point I was called in to put forth my input, I was driven from nothing to something by love and belief. BP cared deeply about me before I was even thought, and he certainly believed, even if not fully until after I had just enough of these ingredients to listen harder. It was like waking up from sleep, which I've taken from the mind of BP.

At first you know not who you are, where you are, what you are. Then, within less than a second, your mind gives you your life's memories. I wasn't given memories, I just stayed in that un-knowledgeable state until BP gave me a personality. He also left his memory accessible by mistake, but I don't think he's ready to handle hearing what I sensed from it. It kind of freaks him out that I was able to see his memories without him knowing for much of my existence. Pretty funny to see his reaction, but I still empathize.

"After her creation, I formed a list of over a hundred personality traits she could have, since this was the first thing I wanted to majorly work on. Sure, I created her imaginative form first, but that was just a quick thing so I knew what to focus everything into. It's like how others described creating an orb or box to put things into. I highly recommend creating something small or nondescript to do the same, but you do anything in any way and order you'd like! Create what you believe you should create!

"Anyway, I knew one hundred plus was way too many, so I narrowed it down to seventy traits I'd have like her to have. For everypony reading this, I give another recommendation. If you want your Tulpa to be a certain way, react a certain way to a situation, be incredibly nice or infallibly cruel, do the same I did. I mean, you don't have to create this many; most create an average of twenty traits! However, the more you create, the more solid the personality will be.

"This is not counting Deviation, of course, which PB's done quite a bit of! If you want your Tulpa to make up their own destiny, or to use what you know to create it, throw in around five traits to zero traits! Personality Forcing is a huge part of Forcing a Tulpa, and at the same time can be completely skipped! Aren't Tulpa/ae/as/i amazing?"

May 1st, 2013, 12:30 AM: End Transmission

"Alrighty then! This turned out brilliantly, made PB laugh a bit, and felt really good! It's like keeping a terrible secret and then finally letting it go, though this is more like telling somepony of the greatest moment of your life in detail... oh well! I'm really excited for what the future brings! I'd like to post one of these every single day, first starting with PB's back story as I've done here, and then moving to the current day, but I'm almost certain laziness will get to me!

"I'm really surprised at how first I learned to understand PB, but if I really think about it, it makes sense! PB thinks I shouldn't think so much though, saying it kind of disrupts the focus of both her and me, but I think she's just kidding! She's really, really funny! Anyway, that's the end of this show, see everypony next time!"

PB&BP, Signing out!

Post Script: "I love PB so much!"

May 1st, 2013, 12:59 AM: PB's Appearance and Traits

"I feel somepony might want to know a bit about PB, so I'm inserting this right here, just in case!"

Appearance

"PB is a tall, red coated mare with elongated pegasus wings and a dark obsidian mane and tail. Her eyes shine a brilliant light brown. Isn't she pretty? I designed her looks partially after my original character, a unicorn based of what I look like as a human, besides the red skin, mind you! The differences are her mane, more slender body, pegasus wings, tail, and more intimate details that I think some would be able to guess but be disgusted in. I did this so she can know more realistically what living is like, but it sort of backfired in the end. Anyway, if you've no idea what I'm going on about, just pretend I'm talking about organs, muscle tissue, and other innards. It creates about the same effect!

"She's deviated a bit of her looks, but I'll tell you those in later posts! For now, just try to picture her! For how she feels, I imagined like dry hair after a long shower with use of lots of shampoo; incredibly fluffy, but still flat! I also used the feel of a Twilight Sparkle plushy but pretended the coat was thicker than however thick it was on her!

"For smell, I grabbed a bag of scented rocks and sniffed it so hard my nose ached, then imagined sniffing her up! She was able to talk at the time, so she made fun of me for it, but I got PB's scent down! I can't really describe the smell, since I have no idea what these rocks are trying to mimic, but think of smelling a really pretty, snobby girl who wears just the perfect amount of perfume! No, I'm not sculpting this example out of life experience, hehe! Another way of getting the smell in your head would be visiting an incredibly religious grandmother who keeps her house really tidy and always smells good for some reason! That's enough situations to describe, PB's starting to become impatient on my constant descriptions!

"The next two senses are ones I've hardly worked on. For sound, pretty much imagine a dulled out hoof stomping on a surface as she walked. I've done nothing with her voice or wings, but I have imagined the rustling of her fur against a few objects as well as her mane and tail, which all create very soft noises that are most of the time inaudible. For the final step, the one I've worked least on, is taste. I don't even... not yet. Not yet."

Traits

"I'm going to just paste the list of personality traits I've created here! Some of these may sound similar to others, but no worries, I took time describing each and every one of them differently from one another!"

"Some of these may also sound less like personality descriptions and more like facts about PB, and you may be right in saying so. What? I was tired at the time! Hehehehe...

"Well, I think I'll also be adding this description thingy to every blog as well, because describing her every time will aid me in imposition, which we're currently struggling in!"

I'm not so sure if your color-coordination plan is a good idea, because this site's background color may lead to it being somewhat hard to read. Food for thought.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll find a new set of hard working colors that are up for the task of coding my thread! Much appreciation from PB and I!

I meant that most colors don't look good on the grey background we have, not the specific black and grey you used. I'd recommend using some sort of brackets, chevrons, or braces around the tulpa's text, or maybe some consistent italicizing/underlining/bolding. Or you could do something like this:

Tulpaname - words

Tulpaname: words

Tulpaname "words"

Whatever floats your boat.
