So, what I did, was post-pone tulpa-forcing until summer started, so I could have more time, which I did, but what I want to know, is will it affect it in anyway? My tulpa, that is.

What I did before stopping the tulpa forcing though, is to create a so called 'safe haven' inside my mind (Atleast, I tried to, don't know if it worked.) Where my tulpa could rest without degrading, I know my tulpa is still there, as I can feel her when I think about tulpa's, or her in general.

But, yeah, that's my question.

Actually taking a break from tulpa forcing once in a while, might be beneficial, because it gives your subconscious the opportunity to incubate. In this thread one tulpamancer gives a short account of a benefit of how a break helped his tulpa develop and I wrote a bit more on the subject of incubation.

Of course, as always with breaks, the trick is to start again and not slip into procrastination. Also, I would avoid too long or frequent breaks, because at the end of the day, you need to invest time into your tulpa to develop it.

I recently got swamped under with too much stuff to handle, I try to speak with Crystal when I can but I've not properly forced in a few days at least.

I think the key is not forgetting about your Tulpa: If you stop forcing because you forget about them, excuse the southpark refrence, you're gonna have a bad time.

If your aware of your Tulpa, and you make it quite clear to both them and yourself that you fully intend to make time for them and that you havn't forgotton about them, I cant see it as having any adverse effects unless you go a long time without doing it.

Of course, I'm no expert, but It's not caused me any issues with Crystal so far.

"Do I fear death? Absolutely, only because it's disappointing. Life is so amazing to witness and be a part of. If I could live until the stars die and the universe goes cold, I would do it just because I want to know how the story unfolds and if it actually ends at all or we keep finding a way."

When we get into this tulpa experience, going on scavenger hunts in the depths of our minds and just understanding ourselves a bit more than we used to before, we can't always have ourselves devoting wholly to a task in constant repetition, we need breaks. There's only so much energy we can exert into each attempt of tulpaforcing, and understanding that we have our limits, and that we have other burdens to shoulder in life must be taken into consideration. Just because you need more time and want to take a break does not mean it'll affect your progress. See it as giving a rain-check, and that you'll do your best to go back into focusing on the task as much as you can. Then if you feel exhausted again, rinse, lather, and repeat.

You're a human being with your own limits, and it's a matter of understanding them and knowing your tulpa shouldn't resent you because of that. As for the safe haven, that's probably just your way of trying to create meaning in why you needed to take a break and have more time to settle other life situations. There's nothing wrong with that, and if anything, acknowledge to your tulpa on why you need to handle other things before you can handle them.

Just stating words of confidence that you'll get back to your tulpa is more than enough for them. Words that give assurance to them is enough to keep themselves strong.
