Guest June 13, 2012 June 13, 2012 If your tulpa reaches a certain level of sentience or sapience (without being fully verbal), can tulpaforcing their personality become counterproductive? I want a completely verbal tulpa before even starting visualization. I recently thought that it might be hurting my tulpa's development to keep explaining their personality to them, treating them as if they don't already know. Is it ever recommended to stop personality forcing?
Avalanche June 13, 2012 June 13, 2012 I personally don't think you should ever stop personality forcing. You learn something new about someone every day- how they react to things, what the think of something, if they like this or that. You never fully know someone, not even yourself. You might think you hate vegetables but you don't know until you try it. Same for tulpae. You can do enough to get them speaking and thinking, all the way up to full sentience. But if you slack off with personality forcing, they just continue on, no bother. If you keep up with it, it... can maybe possibly stifle deviation if you are relentless with it, but otherwise it couldn't hurt. Really you know when you can stop, which is when most people do. If you decide to continue, then be careful to no stifle deviation by being too controlling. frt
