Guest WaterSlinky October 24, 2013 October 24, 2013  Hi everybody! I have recently got into the idea of having a Tulpa. Its a wonderful concept. I truly believe that with time and effort we can do almost anything. Ive given my Tulpa a name, Kuru. I haven't put the time into giving it character traits or much of a form because i want it to evolve on its own. Currently my Tulpa is just a soft yellow blob, like blubber haha but yellow of course. It also has purple floppy cat ears, but this is it so far. Do you think it is possible for me to create my Tulpa just through speaking to it in my head? I don't want to force a personality right off the bat, id like it to develop by itself. Is this a good idea or should i force the traits to make a foundation for the Tulpa, and just let it know it isn't restricted to the traits given. Also, how do i go about passive forcing versus active forcing and which do you think is better for me. I do have the beginning of a wonderland. Its a very picturesque landscape in the deep woods of New England, it has the colors of the fall. Leaves are swaying through the air its quite cool in a sense of temperature. I enter it atop a hill overlooking a crystal clear shimmering lake. Hmmm, should i start writing down what i wish it to look like and then start picturing it in my mind along with Kuru there. I feel as if drawing will help tremendously with the creation aspect. Any advice is accepted! Thanks for the quick read everyone. I will keep posted on the matter, at least a few times a week.
Horatio October 24, 2013 October 24, 2013 Okay, I've been going a month, and have almost only ever passive forced via narration. I didn't make a personality, and I imagined a white blob of light from the getgo, and after a while, I encased it in an egg, and eventually it came out and now it's a person. I didn't choose that form, she chose the form by herself. Currently she's definitely sentient and everything, but can only answer yes/no questions properly, with only a couple of times of sending me thoughts and stuff. Comparing this with other people's progress, I can tell you, doing what I've done seems to slow things down quite a bit. Don't worry, though, there's no rush, surely? I never even drew a wonderland, I just thought of one and rolled with it. :P Initially, I was following FAQman's guide. The old and classic one. I made a couple of traits, then I found another one, on the forum here in the "Guides" section, and rolled with that. I sat down, and thought to my tulpa "Hey, you don't have to use these traits if you don't want to. If you want to deviate, by all means do." and I told her that a good few times. It's a bit early in my own progress to really say that she has or hasn't deviated, but I can certainly say she's shy, something I didn't put in there. ^_^ Anyway, I can't tell you which is better for you without knowing your exact circumstances. Active forcing generally moves things along a bit faster, passive forcing is something you can do more often. Wow, that post is longer than I thought it would be before I started typing. Dx Anyway, good luck with your tulpa! :) One Tulpa: Name: Yuki Physical appearance: Similar to Winry from Fullmetal Alchemist Date of Creation: 16th September, 2013
Guest WaterSlinky October 24, 2013 October 24, 2013 yeah i just spent about an hour on my tulpa. I wrote down some characteristics for her personality. Eleven of them to be exact. I also drew out a sketch of our wonderland. Added a few things, like a bench for us to sit on and some mountains in the background. Also a swing for when she gets bored lol. Theres a big lake but idk if she swims in it or not ha. I also wrote down directly towards Kuru telling her she can change as much as she wants. I ended up adding some more facial features too like eyes, they look like anime eyes id say. Also that she is furry but soft. Yellow with brown stripes and purple ears now and purple eyes. I also narrated to her about what a snowboard is and that its an activity i do. Told her about my favorite anime and then played the game trying to get her to watch. Whether or not she did i dont know lol. Am i doing this right?? ;)
