Irrele March 18, 2014 March 18, 2014 Hello there. I'm new to the concept of developing tulpas, and have a concern. I have Aspergers, and I'm wondering how this will affect the creation of a Tulpa. Will it make it easier? More difficult? Could it be intrusive to future therapy attempts? Thank you in advance! Very new to tulpas, but willing to try. In other news: may Nuka-Cola be eternal.
Bin March 18, 2014 March 18, 2014 I could see it being easier as I'm fairly sure people with aspergers can use their imagination a lot easier. However, because people with autism usually interpret information more literally than others, you should try to be extra careful in reading guides, try to understand nothing about making a tulpa is specific and nobody shares the same experience. A lot of this is symbolic, and someone's use of symbolism can and will be completely different from the symbolism you use. Just do what you think works best and take guides with a grain assault. Also, I don't think you have to worry about therapy sessions. Just don't mention it to your doctor or they might think you're getting worse. Avoid a prescription, ya know? no
Irrele March 18, 2014 Author March 18, 2014 Also, I don't think you have to worry about therapy sessions. Just don't mention it to your doctor or they might think you're getting worse. Avoid a prescription, ya know? My main fear regarding therapy and such was that spending the time to develop a tulpa could set me back in my progression with social and depression issues. Also, I worry about how my behaviour will emotionally affect my tulpa, seeing as I recently have had a lot of trouble with proper social interaction. I just don't want to hurt my tulpa emotionally through difficulties with interactions and emotional sensitivity. Very new to tulpas, but willing to try. In other news: may Nuka-Cola be eternal.
Bin March 18, 2014 March 18, 2014 I think a tulpa could only help in those areas. I kinda suck at talking, but my tulpa has been wanting to give me speech therapy. In addition I think a tulpa could only help depression instead of worsen it, I've never heard of anyone getting more depressed for making one. They offer a ton of comfort and emotional support and give you an outlet to talk to. no
