Guest CaptFlushing July 7, 2012 July 7, 2012 For various reasons, I have not tulpaforced at all over the past two weeks, save for one attempt that failed and gave me a massive headache. During that time, my idea of what I want the tulpa to be like has shifted dramatically, to the point that many of the elements of the personality that I forced before no longer apply to my current plans. Since I only performed about 90 minutes total of forcing on the personality, I'm considering restarting completely. However, the last time I discussed this on the IRC, some of the members (mainly Pronas, I believe) told me that, as I had still been thinking about the tulpa during this time, restarting would cause weird shit to happen, although they didn't give specifics. The problem is, when I discussed this with them, the shifts in my ideas for the tulpa were not very dramatic, at least compared to what has changed since. I'm worried that if I continue to force on the old personality, with the major changes I've made, the conflicting traits might cause problems with the tulpa's formation. At the same time, I don't want the tulpa to come out corrupted because of the 'weird shit' Pronas warned me about. What should I do here? Restart the process, or continue with the old 'personality orb' I created?
Guest Anonymous July 7, 2012 July 7, 2012 A two week break after only ninety minutes of forcing time means any progress you made was erased. It would be different if you'd made more progress prior to the break, but I think you'd be better off restarting with the new personality as a basis (provided that's what you want).
Pronas July 7, 2012 July 7, 2012 Grab your personality orb and tell it that you changed ideas. If you like SYMBOLISM imagine yourself taking the old traits off and throwing them away and then make the new ones. I just suggest that you don't create anything new, but "recycle" what you already have. Don't make a new personality orb, just replace its contents. think of it like a chest.
