Could a Tulpa already have been in existence?

Is it possible that I've had a Tulpa for a very long time, and that I just didn't know what they actually were when i first thought them up?

It's a pretty common theme for somebody to come across this place, or another tulpa-related corner of the internet, and realize that, or wonder if, they've had a Tulpa for a long time. Oftentimes, they'll be speaking of imaginary friends who kinda just never went away, or voices that just popped up one day.

 

Either way, yes, absolutely possible that you've had a Tulpa, or at least something in the area, for a long time.

Absolutely. I created Pinky, Sunray and Ex all semi-accidentally before I knew what tulpas were. I was really blown away when I found this website -- perfectly describing these little "head people" that I didn't realize so many others had!

 

I didn't realize, prior to finding this place, that tulpas could be intentionally created (again, my first three were sort of accidentally made -- looking back on it, I guess I did a lot of passive forcing without really knowing what I was doing), which is why Kael and Magnum are the only two that I really tried to bring into being.
