Thunder Flash July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 I just have a simple question, would the belief system effect the whole worrying about parroting thing? Just truly believe your tulpa wont become a servitor and you wont have to worry about it becoming a servitor, I am correct in thinking this riiight? Tulpa - Kaliea Form: Human female Sentience: Possibly Stage - Visualization: Done Narration: Continuing Touch: Almost Done Smell: Yet to begin Imposition: Yet to begin
Guest applesauce99 July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Servitirs are a metaphysical belief anyway, so taking this from a purely psychological approach would eliminate that crap. Parroting, I believe, has yet to be determined as 'bad', since so few have completed tulpae.
Thunder Flash July 14, 2012 Author July 14, 2012 Aww I see, I just got the impression that if you accidentaly parroted or puppeted, thst you could make them your servitor unintentionally, which I do not want. I would feel horrible if Kaliea was bent to my will Tulpa - Kaliea Form: Human female Sentience: Possibly Stage - Visualization: Done Narration: Continuing Touch: Almost Done Smell: Yet to begin Imposition: Yet to begin
Guest applesauce99 July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Hypothetically, if you fuck up, which is impossible, and create a servitor, which is more impossible, that has no 'free will' - you can turn it into a tulpa from there. In my opinion, a tulpa isn't really anything all that magical or amazing. It's essentially just a sentient, personified projection or imaginary friend that can think independently.
Thunder Flash July 14, 2012 Author July 14, 2012 Which is still pretty great, I can't wait to hear Kaliea at least :P Tulpa - Kaliea Form: Human female Sentience: Possibly Stage - Visualization: Done Narration: Continuing Touch: Almost Done Smell: Yet to begin Imposition: Yet to begin

Servitors are not purely metaphysical; like tulpæ they are present on boths sides of the field. Ask glitch about Enigma. Aww I see, I just got the impression that if you accidentaly parroted or puppeted, thst you could make them your servitor unintentionally, which I do not want. I would feel horrible if Kaliea was bent to my will Accidentally creating a servitor due to parroting is warned against in Dane's guide, which leads me to believe it's possible. As much as people seem to dismiss Dane's theories I think they are still relevant. Note the "I think". Kaliea wouldn't be bent to your will because she wouldn't have a will to bend if she was a servitor. Think of them as machines. They do what you design them to do and that is all.
Thunder Flash July 14, 2012 Author July 14, 2012 Exactly, I do not want a machine, I want a "living sentient" being whom they can spend their time with me, share opinions and what not. TulpaCouple July 14, 2012 July 14, 2012 Servitors can easily be turned into tulpas, pretty much if you stick to it and do what works, you WILL get a tulpa. Luke doesn't give a shit about puppeting as long as it isn't stupid. He knows Nate is creative and even enjoys the random thing Nate will have him do. It is similar to possession in his mind, both take a lot of trust and both could theoretically be bad.
