Unoverlapping timezones with most people on the forum makes it less likely for your post's lastpostingness to be overrode. Hence the boosting effect. It doesn't really factor into post counts, unfortunately, meaning that we latecomers are unlikely to ever overtake the founders.

Century eggs are nice, according to host. I don't like them that much. Different people different tastes. Mayak Gyeran would have been good if I liked salt a bit more. Or maybe the serving I had was overseasoned. Either way, not for me. (Host likes everything edible. As usual.)
