Howdy tulpa.info

I haven't really been active on the forums but I do try to be a bit forum in the chatroom, and literally out of pure boredom from my everyday life I decided to try and put up this thread. If some do not know me I am the Irish_ that made the tulpa guide and wonderland guide however so many years ago that was (I don't remember). I wanted to post that first before that became the first question on this.

So here will be the rules.

Don't ask too much about my stuff including what I do for a living, I'm very limited in what I can tell others due to being military but I will accommodate as necessary in relation to it. Stuff like "How does it affect your job?" kind of questions are alright.

(also if you wanna ask me anything that you don't want to post publicly it's best to email me just pm me here and I'll send you my email)

I look forward to hearing from y'all.

Hey Irish sup

Thunder: How much time do you have to put into forcing/interacting with your tulpa(s) with the military? Thanks for serving by the way!

I spend my free-time when i'm not working talking to them, most of the time I'm always left to my own devices so I always find time to talk to them, i even talk to them whenever I am working to ask questions like "Where do I find this or that" and such. I don't really force anymore and just interact which I guess in a way can serve as forcing them.

Thunder: Good man, that's great to hear! And yeah, I guess that you can consider it a way to force too ^^

I'm in the army not the navy dood, and I'm gonna try and get more interactive with the community again (mainly cause I'm bored). And they're doing pretty good same old personalities and same old bitchiness every so often lol.

Hey! Nice to actually see you XD - I hear about ya a lot in the 'he wrote the guide etc' and all the other 'early days' chat - cool to see your still around and not .. Uh.. Not?

Anyways ok question huh? Mm.

What do you tulpae think of your day to day job? Do they have an opinion? ( not critasising just genuinely curious)

I am very glad to get a chance to communicate with you Irish. I was wondering if you have ever created a bibliography for your original guides? Were their source documents for anything? Where did you find or learn about the techniques described in the guides for creating tulpa?

I have had an accidental "thought form" persona in my mind for the past 38 years, that I continue to insist is not a tulpa. There is a lot of information about her to be found in links on my profile page that lead to her deviantart page if you are curious. Melian is deeply significant to me and incredibly important in my life. I came here to share her and I am honored to share her with you if you are curious (or bored) enough to take the time.

I have the opinion (correct me if I am wrong), that the techniques described in the guides and the terminology, "tulpa," and "thought form," specifically were terms not used in the field of psychology, but are derived from Eastern and Western spiritualism, mysticism and magic practices. What I like about the tulpa community is how they appear to have taken these terms, and the concept, and redefined them for the internet age, (perhaps revised and updated them) to mean an application of personal applied psychology. This is not the only community doing such things. There is a community for the creation of daemons, dating back to 2003, which take an approach of applied Jungian psychology. The power of the internet has made it possible for like minded, imaginative people to share such a concept.

Do you find other types of "thought forms," be they enhanced imaginary companions, daemons, or some other type (perhaps not deemed "fully sentient" as a tulpa is) to be less legitimate or inferior to a tulpa? It is a direct question motivated by personal concerns Melian and I have about Tulpa Info and the community of tulpae. We are feeling a bit socially insecure since finding others with mental constructs of the imagination and are looking for reassurance. I will respect whatever answer you give, as it is your opinion and we would like to get an honest response.

To be blunt, we have been told directly, by a small minority of people, that if we are not interested in creating a tulpa, that we are not welcome in the community and no one cares what we have to share (not by mods or admin mind you). I took these statements very personally and it unfortunately created a cloud over me that I have been unable to escape. I want to share and learn, but only if I am welcome and considered with respect. I know you cannot answer for the community as a whole and are not responsible for the attitudes of people you do not know. But I would be interested in your opinion on that matter.

Melian and I are currently weighing whether or not it is beneficial to us personally to continue to interact on the internet, specifically on this forum. To continue being public, we would need to find the personal strength to shake away the sense of insecurity and weather the inevitable disdainful opinions of a few. If that proves impossible, Melian was a very private matter to me for almost four decades and could be so again. She will always be one of the best things that ever happened to me and a great gift. I have already gained a tremendous amount from being a member of Tulpa Info, and I believe others have benefited from what I have had to share. Many of the members are very bright and well educated and extremely informative. But being public means interacting socially and all the good and bad that comes with that.

I do believe that what is going on here at Tulpa Info is just a part of a bigger picture, something intrinsically human and an ancient practice and endeavor. Creating tulpas is new, but yet not so new. It is more of a new perspective on an old idea and aspect of human nature.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response. I appreciate it very much. Gods, I really need to get past this stuff if we are going to stay. ~Mistgod

(Mistgod, I can't say whether you being here is beneficial to you, but I have found it beneficial to me, so thank you.)

I'll second what Mistgod asked about sources. I know Alexandra David-Neel never mentioned wonderlands. And what inspired you to devote months of your life to doing something you couldn't be sure would work?

Their opinions consist mainly of “this is boring”, “this is stupid” and “this is super interesting”. It depends on what I’m doing most of the time. But they find it respectable that I’m doing it and still able to work in time for them. They can be fickle about it but they just accept it nowadays

@Mistgod

I never considered making a bibliography or anything like that, I never found the time nor did I feel like doing it, a lot of people wanted me to do it but I never did so that means no source documents. I learned a bit about it from talking to a Buddhist friend of mine and watching a lot of neuroscience videos and reading a lot of neuroscience books. Eventually at some point I just did what I felt was the best way for me to do it. The idea and name of tulpa were originally formed from Buddhist ideologies but I also found many relevant things in other cultures and religions such as a muse and such that was basically the same thing. There’s also reports of tulpa like entities being mentioned in many famous books so it’s truly not a part of psychology but possibly just overlooked. So the fact that it’s come into this generation and studied pretty hard by the community is actually pretty awesome. I don’t believe in anything or anyone being inferior to anybody else or anything else, maybe it’s just me but the mind is a pretty crazy place and I try to keep an open mind and believe that anything could happen. Now to answer your next question no one can be considered with respect unless they deserve it in my opinion, if you are able to talk to someone politely and respond in a polite manner respecting someone else’s opinion then you deserve a sort of social respect. If others or even you can’t act a certain way that allows respect to be formed then they or you don’t deserve to be respected in my opinion. No one deserves respect but earn it through their actions, that’s just me though.

@sushi

Basically talking to a well-informed friend on the Buddhist culture, reading the book of the dead, studying anatomy and physiology as well as neuroscience and how the brain works. What inspired me to do something like creating a tulpa was the fact that I wanted my life to change but could never find the will or motivation to change my life so I tried starting in a very simplistic way and moving up and implementing it into my everyday life.
