So this was gonna be the question, "Can Tulpae hear all thoughts, or just the ones we specifically target at them?" but I figured it was relatively simple to someone who knew the answer. So I decided to piggyback with kind of a different type of question. In my wonderland, it's just a simple beach. But, when i'm there, sometimes I lose control. (granted, i've only been doing this for a few days...) Like, i'll accidentally imagine myself spinning, and suddenly i'm spinning, except I can't stop myself. I try to tell myself I can stop, because I have control over it, but I guess I don't believe myself? Maybe that last one isn't applicable here...

Thank you! ^^

Tulpas can hear anything you think, if they choose to listen. You can ask them not to listen to something, though that's not necessarily a guarantee that they won't, and you can't necessarily feel if your thoughts were heard by a tulpa. Alternately you can learn to put up a "barrier" to block your thoughts from them, though keeping that up is apparently difficult.

Personally I've decided not to hide anything from mine, with few exceptions. I figure they'll eventually see far worse than whatever I'd be trying to hide, since I've given them full access to my memories, and they live in my brain anyhow. An obvious exception would be if we get into playing games that require secrets (20 questions, chess, poker, etc.).

Regarding the spinning, that seems to be more of a visualization error. I had something like it early on too. Visualized objects would spin out of control and I couldn't stop them. What fixed it was I started letting them spin out into a blur, then visualize the object as it actually is in the wonderland, over the fading blur. It helped to recognize that the object itself wasn't spinning. I was just perceiving it incorrectly. I suggest trying something similar. YMMV.

Evan: boy, ~14, was an Eevee

Anera: anime-style girl, ~12; Lyra made her

Wow I thought this was something only I experienced. I get this during imposition sometimes and it's fucking irritating. One time Lucy rolled over on my bed and she just kept rolling in place. It freaked her out.

But, much as the people above had stated, tulpas can hear all thoughts if you let them to. But, they'll ignore thoughts if you want them to. They're respectful beings, I find.

Thanks for all your words of wisdom!:p (But, about the thoughts, it wasn't as much as needing privacy as it was so my poor tulpa wouldn't have to hear me trip over my thoughts while narrating aloud)

Something similar happens to me when I'm visualizing. What has happened to me is the dimensions of the Dreamscape become skewed, and most often the ceiling or walls close in on me, or the dimensions just don't make sense. For instance the stairs leading to the basement of a building would be too long or short to actually lead to the basement. I figure that sometimes if I can't visualize something, it means I'm not supposed to.

When I was trying to fall asleep too, I would get shapes that would constantly change dimensions for no reason and irritate the hell out of me, making it impossible to get to sleep. That happened a lot more when I was younger, and way before I started tulpamancy.
