So there's "Parallel Processing", which means that the tulpa and the host can do similar tasks at the same time, like counting or calculating.

And then there's "Thought Independence" #1: the tulpa is able to think consciously when the host does not concentrate on him/her/it.

And then there's "Thought Independence" #2: the host and the tulpa can hide thoughts from each other. Like with this differentiation exercise where one side forces an object into a black box and has the other side guess the object in 20 Questions style.

I'm interested in how these three things relate to each other. Is one a pre-requirement for the other, or are some of those essentially the same? (I'm using the umbrella term "Thought Autonomy" for myself right now.)

The poll is to check for correlations between the three skills. To test parallel processing, you can use this Flash game. To test thought independence #1, you can use the blackbox exercise linked above. As for thought independence #2, stable imposition will probably count as confirmation, or when your tulpa builds complex things in the wonderland while you're not there (anything that can't be made up on the spot).

Urk, we tried all the tests and ended up failing all of them. Is there any way you can practice and work on this sort of thing?

First of all, you can continue to practice with that flash game. It's actually great practice for parallel processing. You can also just force a lot. Your Tulpa(s) will naturally get better at this as you give them attention and they grow.

I suppose... Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. c:
