Tulpas and Shadow Self

We all have a dark side, called the shadow self.

Is it possible for our shadow self to destroy our tulpa in the making?

I've heard of it happening to someone else.

I've been giving so much attention to my tulpa, he should be strong enough to fight if need be. But hopefully it doesn't come to that. I don't want my tulpa to have to struggle.

Chance, an anthro husky, wolf or fox.

Are you high? Seriously... There is no such thing as a "shadow self" that you and your tulpa need to fight against. You said someone else you knew had it happen to him, who was he and what happened to him?

I guess he might be taking about Jung's concept of the "Shadow", but I'm not sure that makes sense in this context.

Actually you were right

The shadow self is a psychological ideal just not a well known one. It seems to be refering to a subconcious dark side so my answer still remains that no, your tulpa will be fine. There have been exactly zero accounts of people's tulpa having to fight an evil something or other and the only accounts I've ever seen of a tulpa encountering evil entities came from users who were admittedly schizophrenic or on drugs or both so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

And before you say anything, no I don't think your schizophrenia will be an issue with chance, you seem to be pretty level headed but everyone's experiance is different.

Also don't mind Dog, he lacks the social skills but I do second the motion of who was your friend and was HE high when he told you this?

This is being passive aggressive. These bits contribute nothing to the thread but negativity.

I would appreciate it if you stopped doing this.

This is really personifying the shadow. In response to your questions, no, your tulpa will be fine. If it happened to someone, it was probably wonderland symbolism. Imagination at work.

My understanding of "The Shadow" (in Carl Jung's terms) was that part of your personality that is underutilized. If you are a scientist, then your shadow might be your musical or artistic side. If you were a straight-laced puritan, then your shadow might be somewhat darker. The thing to accept about The Shadow, is it is a facet of yourself - a sub-personality, just as being a brother, or a student, or a friend are other facets of yourself.

The 'creepy pasta' view of the shadow mostly comes from the Persona series of games where it is portrayed as always being dark and dangerous (which, isn't actually the case).

I possibly have a relevant experience in that I was mostly raised by a tulpa who personifies "the Shadow" in our family. A most guresome thinker he is, and yet kindly and helpful to me. I would say, you have only to tell your shadow to support your tulpa and it will be so. That has been my personal experience of it.

If you don't give a reliable source on this, I'll suggest for this post to go to the Meta board.

If you used your common sense, what would be the most rational and reasonable answer?

I've heard of it happening to someone else.

I've heard of Martians coming from Mars to Atlantis on Earth by use of an artificial Merkaba that they'd created because their race was going extinct due to having failed the Lucifer Experiment, which resulted in a big feud between the left-brained Martians and right-brained Lemurians (who inhabited Atlantis by themselves before the Martians appeared) and eventually resulted in the Martians angrily opening a portal to the second dimension, releasing confused spirits which latched onto the Lemurians and made them sick, which resulted in them becoming unable to activate their Merkaba as the third dimension went through a major shift due to the processsion of the Equinox reaching a vital point where the presence of a Merkaba is essential towards maintaining one's memory, which is why we have forgotten about who we are today and therefore we are incapable of tuning into our right brain and effectively using our Merkaba to it's full extent, and have to resort to limited science and technology instead because we know no better.

I've been giving so much attention to my tulpa, he should be strong enough to fight if need be. But hopefully it doesn't come to that. I don't want my tulpa to have to struggle.

Struggle is but a natural process of life that results in personal development.
