tacokek90 November 6, 2016 Share November 6, 2016 Hey guys. I'd like to start a discussion and see your tips/thoughts on how to improve your visualization. For the matters of WL, and all other things visualizing can help you with. How vivid your visualization naturally is? Are the images you're visualizing very detailed? Did it improve since the moment you started actively using/practising it (i.e. using wonderland, let's say)? Do you think it can be simply trained? If so, how? By simply forcing yourself to visualize things? Is your visualization better when you're about to fall asleep or in the morning? Thank you so much for any input. tulpa001 November 6, 2016 Share November 6, 2016 You can do image streaming to improve visualisation. People with tulpas have an advantage here. Open eye visualisation is something to practise as a lead in to imposition. Rotating an object in your mind helps visualisation. Also, pick it up and manipulate it. Have immersive daydreams. This is one where you feel like you are in the dream. Pull in all the senses. Touch and hear everything in the dream world, see from the perspective of a character. Choose an activity sufficiently exciting that it really pulls your focus and attention. Learn drafting, and the secrets of perspective. Also, any other visual media style. This will feedback into your visualisation ability. Host comments in italics. Tulpa's log. Tulpa's guide.
The_Unnamed November 11, 2016 Share November 11, 2016 In the beginning, my visualization was as simple and as strong as imagining something. However, the more I spoke to my tulpa, the more my weak visualization became a bit stronger. It seems its beginning to become more stronger the more I daydream and imagine the 2A universe in my mind, which my tulpa says is her wonderland. mayanightstar November 14, 2016 Share November 14, 2016 As a generally tip, I would definitely say DON'T spend time practicing visualization and nothing else. Instead, find immersive activities that will exercise your visualization skills as a side effect. My visualization is super good personally, and I haven't spent a second of effort on it. Instead, it improved through time spent planning out my art, comics, and stories. I think you're more likely to get better at it this way because it will engage different parts of your brain at the same time, and make your time more efficient. If you can find ways to force your tulpa at the same time, you should (i.e. visualize them performing some kind of activity. You can see how they react to this doing activity while also trying to visualize all the details of it). I'd also say try to have a set environment in your mind as often as possible- don't have everything occur in a black or white void. Start by using environments you've been in irl, instead of inventing them. You're more likely to have to visualize a ton of details this way, since real life is generally more detailed than whatever you could come up with, at least as a beginner. You'll also be focusing your effort on the visualization, rather than thinking of stuff to fill the environment with. As far as when about to fall asleep or right after waking up, it's /definitely/ better, personally. But I might be biased, because these are already times I do a lot of visualizing anyway. But I do believe it's probably a brain thing, since you're shifting into different brain waves when you're sleepy. If that made any sense. I almost gave up on tulpas after deciding I was happy with my semi-sentient OCs the way they were. Then one of them decided he'd be a tulpa anyway and I pretty much had no choice. Host/Mun: Micah.
