Yuki November 11, 2015 November 11, 2015 There are valid concerns about the direction this community is going in. I've seen several people say that people must take initiative, create content themselves and make discussion happen. Some people are already attempting to do that in their own ways, and I'm happy to see it. I'd like to urge everyone to follow their example, and think about what you have to bring to this community. Together, we can at least make a dent in the belief that this is a place for drama whores and role playing. For a long time, I believed that a good way to urge people to be productive would be a communal writing project. To create a new resource for tulpa creation together, and not stopping there. Beliefs have certainly evolved over time, and some relatively smart people have thought about this phenomenon for a long time. Can we do better than the old guides? I think so. We can create a new method with fewer limiting beliefs and less mysticism, but with more focus on the benefits of this phenomenon. I want to see a guide that urges the reader to better their life, using the creation process as a tool to learn about themselves and about empathy, how to truly understand a person different from themselves. I think many of us would like to have a resource like this, and I personally don't like how limited the resources available are, when you look at the current selection of guides. I've been thinking about a method to create a new resource together, as a community, where everyone can have their say. We'll start small, with open discussion threads about various topics, to decide on the message we want to share. This would spark a lot of activity in the forums, if done properly. I'll be posting topics for discussion, and I urge you to do the same, about anything that is important to you. This can happen across the forums, concerning all the different things that have to do with tulpa creation, life with tulpas, and related topics like meditation. I think that if people work together on this, we can create a large and comprehensive resource in those threads alone. After some time discussing these topics, let's say two to three months to ballpark it, we can start thinking about how to bundle this information and create a guide of some kind that could help both new and advanced people here. Our combined knowledge and views should be able to create something better than what currently exists, something that will truly help people, and this project itself might be able to spark continued activity on the forums. There's plenty to talk about, but people need an incentive to start talking. Let's give that to them. What do you think we need to do to make this project succeed? What topics would be important for you to discuss, and how could we make this a project that lifts up this community, improves activity, and in the end, helps our users? I hope that together we can make a change, as a group. I'll be posting an example discussion thread along with this. I'd like to see people join in, and not only give their own thoughts on the subject, but to respond to others' views, ask others questions, and challenge others' beliefs. I'll be keeping track of the various threads, and I'll regularly post new ones. I hope that you will join me, and post threads of your own, and get involved in the ones that others make. Together, we can make .info great again. PETT #1 - What is a tulpa? PETT #2 - Epiphenomenalism: Are Tulpas Capable of Causing Physical Events? nlc11 November 12, 2015 November 12, 2015 This is a really good idea! I will certainly be getting involved as soon as possible. I hope we can get a good guide out soon. Will this project also include a PR push? We could probably expand the community soon, since we have a fair backing of permanent members.
Guest Anonymous November 13, 2015 November 13, 2015 The thing is, when you're creating a tulpa, the journey matters more than the destination. I'm all for making new guides and such, but make them minimalistic. If people blindly follow guides, they're gonna have more trouble than before. And it's all because we have different pathways engraved in our cranium cavity. People who will make these new guides should foremost explain the problem at question (making a tupper), instead of going on a tangent about symbolism, etc. When you put everything into perspective, the problem becomes simple, and people will try to learn on their own. This is the main problem that plagues the "old" guides, apart from a select few. They try to impose their own way of thinking over the reader. Which is counterproductive for everyone that reads them, cause the first thing they have to do is drop the "tips" given in the guide and find their own solution in the problem. I think that guides should "expand" the flexibility of the reader's mind, instead of hampering it with predefined notions. Give them food for thought, instead of a list of instructions. Because, lets be honest, if a person does not want to learn more about their mind, and/or change their mindset, they have nothing to do here.

I'm glad you're excited, I hope that we can make something nice out of this whole thing. I'm very happy to see other people are posting and thinking. I haven't really considered PRs in this project. How would you feel we should include those? How do you think we can expand the community? The thing is, when you're creating a tulpa, the journey matters more than the destination. I suppose there's a case to be made both for keeping things light and free, as well as frontloading people with subjectively positive ideas. What I want to create most is a source information about the experiences of the people in this community. It should always be stressed that the guide isn't exhaustive on the matter, and that things can always be different for any person. How can we avoid falling in the trap that those old guides did? Kalyrian November 14, 2015 November 14, 2015 I'd be all for helping out with this. I don't post much because, outside of research - which is constantly dead and gets about one post a day - the site is basically about helping newbies making tulpas. There isn't much for someone who's already done most of the basic stuff and wants to discuss more advanced concepts. game is hard
Yuki November 15, 2015 Author November 15, 2015 This project will hopefully breed an atmosphere where you won't have to feel that way. Please contribute in whatever way you can. What kind of topics would spark your interest? Feel free to ask me anything. Suffering is self-imposed. Don't let it control you.
Deleted November 16, 2015 November 16, 2015 I dont believe we should treat Tulpa.info ethically. I think we should use it to test new make-up and have it smoke fags. Serously though, this seems like a good idea and Ill give the threads a look over when I can. We are all mad here
