Crescendo December 9, 2015 December 9, 2015 Hey guys, it's (back)story time again! As some of you may have read before, Maja doesn't have a form. I tried to give her a form in the early development stages, but eventually gave up, since I'm really really bad when it comes to visualisation. Also, I didn't care that much about it, all I wanted was to be able to talk to her. Which leads to the another thing we're "missing" - the voice. Maja is sentient, and I would say she's vocal, but she doesn't have a voice. Right now, she's communicating via sending me thoughts. I don't hear them, I just.. feel them, if that makes sense. I know what she's saying. Sometimes the lines seem to be a bit blurry and I have to ask her again and again if that thought was really hears, but overall our communication works. I'd like her to develop her own voice tbh, but she feels like she just doesn't need it and it's easier for her to stick to thoughts. Welp, no voice for her, then. About the form.. well, as stated before in another post, even though she doesn't have a form, she does have a humanoid presence. Like when I lay in bed and ask her to lay next to me - it feels like something humanoid lays next to me. I don't feel the need to see her and I don't care much about imposition, so we're just gonna stick to this presence, until she tells me otherwise. tl;dr My sentient and communicating tulpa doesn't have a form or a voice. I'd like to know if that's the case with other tulpas, too, or if some of you were it that stage for a while but eh, grew out of it after developing more? The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure, while always arriving. Maja will either use name tags, [brackets] or this colour.

Crescendo December 9, 2015 Author December 9, 2015 Ah, "better" is the wrong word imo. I mean, we're able to communicate, we do stuff together, and I'm really happy she's by my side. I don't mind things being like this. We just went for a walk, and even though she doesn't really have a form, we were holding hands and I was feeling the warmth of her hand, and I was able to sense her walking on the curbside or playing around with some stuff outside. This is kinda fascinating to me - just like when we're talking, I feel what she's doing. I don't feel the need to change anything, but I'd like to know if I'm the only one on this forum who's experiencing this. So far, I haven't heard of anything similar. Sadame December 9, 2015 December 9, 2015 We were like this for quite a while. When I set out to create my tulpa, I concentrated entirely on personality and some core traits. Add to that that I'm not very good with visualisation and having concrete images of people in my head in general. So for several months my tulpa was an entity of pure thought, communicating general attitudes and fleshing out traits as time went on. At some point it was time for a more solid presence, when he wanted to use a clear voice, so he picked a template of a fictional character that matched his personality enough. That got us started on form and voice. From there he makes small edits as he feels like it. (I'm leaving those choices to him since they're a form of self-expression that he has to figure out himself in my opinion.)
Guest Anonymous December 9, 2015 December 9, 2015 In a way, a tulpa without form or voice is going straight for sentient traits without the stops along the way. What I mean is that most tulpas start as a visualization of a non-sentient form and a wonderland right? You skipped that and went for spawning "a being" or presence. I think that is really cool! There are times where I don't "see" Melian, but feel her presence, energy or "aura" and emotions. I could have left it at that and had something amazing like what you are describing! I do understand what you are saying even though Melian didn't happen that way.

I kinda hope for it (Maja: Not gonna happen.), but I guess she's a little stubborn when it comes to that? We'll see. But it's really interesting to hear about a similar experience! And I like how you're leaving the choices to him. Davie, I wish I would have started this way! I spend so much time trying to create a wonderland and her form.. a lot of lost time for me, tbh. Probably just wasn't the right way for us. Sometimes I'm jealous about your visualisation/day dreaming abilities! The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure, while always arriving.
