zerofox21898 July 22, 2012 July 22, 2012 Yesterday, I was narrating to my tulpa. I was telling her about a RL issue I was worried about. Suddenly, I got this wave of happiness, I started smiling and then even tearing up. Then I started to feel extremely confused. I'd try telling her what I was feeling but the words just wouldn't come. I would only get half a word out before moving on to another thought, or stutter. It was all very weird and completely out of nowhere. So I was wondering, do you guys think that this is an emotional response? And does this mean that she is sentient? I haven't been doing this very long, mind you. Tulpas Luna, Vanille
Guest Anonymous July 22, 2012 July 22, 2012 Sounds like it could be. How long have you been working on your tulpa? I got my first emotional response at 7 hours in, and it was very similar to your experience, only it was a very nervous feeling rather than a wave of happiness. Try asking her simple yes or no questions without expecting a response to see if she's able to respond with emotion or pressure.
SSaint July 22, 2012 July 22, 2012 I got my first couple emotional responses very early on, and then nothing afterwards for a long time. It was similar to what you described. “There is not enough love and goodness in the world to permit giving any of it away to imaginary beings.” -Friedrich Nietzsche
zerofox21898 July 22, 2012 Author July 22, 2012 I wasn't kidding when I said I haven't been working on her very long. *laughs* I haven't even made the 5 hour mark yet when it comes to forcing. Not sure how long I've been narrating. :/ Definitely a lot longer than forcing though. Yeah... forcing bores me... Anyway, I tried asking her a few questions, like Lucid acid suggested, and after asking her if she was trying to communicate with me, I got this strange tingling feeling in the same spot I got the headache, and another headache. I think it was just my imagination, but still... Tulpas Luna, Vanille
Guest Albatross_ July 23, 2012 July 23, 2012 Suddenly, I got this wave of happiness, I started smiling and then even tearing up. Same thing happened to me whilst distributing chicken tenders in a box at a NASCAR race. Could be an early emotional response.
NED July 23, 2012 July 23, 2012 i dont think it matters when you get the response. i heard some people get it 3 hours in, but i am over 120 hours in and i still am yet to have one. Since ive never had one that means i cant really talk much on the matter. But I think if the emotion was sudden and powerful then that is it Name - Silver Form - Harpy Sentience - fully sentient Personality - Playful, cheerful, enthusiastic, chilled Smell - Baileys Stage - Narration and imposition

Endpol July 24, 2012 July 24, 2012 Suddenly, I got this wave of happiness, I started smiling and then even tearing up That also happened to me when I was reading a post about the feeling in the back of your head some people get when they're talking to/forcing their tulpa. It was as if it was happy I finally figured that out (before, I didn't acknowledge the feeling, because I was concentrating)
Ohrin July 25, 2012 July 25, 2012 Can an emotional response be an action? Or like something that happens that seems to be in response to a question? Tulpa Name: Solara Form: Human Female Creation Stage: Narrating and Basic Vizsualization
