Hello. I'm new :D but I've been stalking the forums for a while.

Standard introduction is standard.

But I started making a tulpa, as one does, and I'm worried that it's not turning out great. I know a lot of people say you can't really screw up a tulpa as long as you narrate well but I'm still worried.

You can go to my tumblr if you want to see my failure at progress. (seahorse-on-the-other-side.tumblr.com/tagged/tulpa log) although that's probably in my signature derp. Although you probably want a tl;dr... My day 10(?) should summarize my worries.

But should I go back a few steps and go over what I've done again, reinforce it and spend more time on it (personality & visuals, that's all I've done so far)

Tulpa: Raven

Form: Female, human

Here, give this a read:

http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-Fede-s-Ultimate-Superior-Tulpa-Guide

A few people been making their tulpa do what they feel they would do in a certain situation. Then, after awhile, they just allowed themselves to fill in the blanks without knowing it. Maybe this will be more suited to you?

Also, your tulpa has the ability to change its own form if it wants to... You'll find that one day you'll start visualizing your tulpa one way instead of the other and that you can't really switch back. So don't be too worried about that.

2.5 hours in seems a bit premature for you to be freaking out, in my opinion. Just keep working at it and try to not make your parroting a habit, and it'll work out fine, seriously. If you really are that concerned about it, there are plenty of threads that deal with parroting and how to work around or with it, just use the search function.

Gave it a read, thanks :) its always good to have a few different guides under your belt right? Although, I like my wonderland and intend to keep using it! Mix and match I suppose~

My main concern is that I'm going too fast more than parroting.

But your probably right, about worrying prematurely ^^; I had a bit of a stress attack and my worries about my tulpa kinda got dragged into it all :P

I wouldn't follow Fede's guide. You'll end up with a servitor. Trust me, use FAQman's and Irish's guides as baselines.

Trust me. Don't use Fede's. It's a shit guide written by a shit person and the result is a shit tulpa.

ha... I noticed that people didn't like fede's guide much... or fede himself!

I'm just taking it with a grain of salt, mainly using the visualization part (just kind of imagining Raven standing behind me, outside my vision), much less the parroting bit!

There are some good examples of people making a tulpa with this technique. Take JD1215 for example... http://tulpa.info/forums/Thread-JD1215-s-Adventures-in-the-Hyperspace?pid=15973#pid15973

However I think that the wonderland is an important tool and I prefer using FAQ_mans guide.

Yes, wonderlands are extremely important. They are a good place for your tulpa to chill at too if you're busy.

according to faqman's guide, you can never spend too much time doing traits (personality, likes, dislikes, mindset something like that i guess.).

so if you're gonna take a step back... spend twice, thrice as much time on traits, either adding more, or reinforce what's already there. repeating what you've already said might also work but i don't know.

i did took a step back and re-did a lot of Chloe's traits. Result's not bad.

Chloe - That cheerful girl with ponytail.

Aigis - The male cyborg that looks like raiden in MGR.

Vixen - Half dragon female who looks like Mary in DMC3 when in human form.

Hello Seahorse, we were talking over Tumblr already!

Once your Tulpa has reached sentience, it will turn out like a human being, with its good and bad sides.

It's important to understand the Tulpa's base personality and not just summarizing traits, try to go for that "overall feel" a real person has.

Please note, that Fede's guide is not yet approved as a working guide.
