I have for the past day reading things on this website. Tulpa's seem like self induced schizophrenia, or a imaginary friend. Although on the other hand seems extremely useful to have around.

Imagine the possibly!

-A Tulpa could improve childrens test scores

-A Tulpa could make students study harder

-A Tulpa could improve ones out look on life

-A Tulpa would be loyal to its creator and always have his or hers best interest in mind

Tulpa's seem to good to be true, although many of you already claim to have created tulpa's like FAQman, Irish, and Fede.

Tulpa's seem like the next revolution of man, the switch from the information age into the age of the mind.

But before i get to worked up about tulpa's what do you all think should i make a tulpa?

Those who stand in the way of virtue shall fail!

I trolled all day yesterday on facepunch, and 4chan. Today after reading the Tulpa guides im starting to become serious about this.

Those who stand in the way of virtue shall fail!

Copy pasted from Phi's answers to over-asked questions:

4. Tulpa and schizophrenia: Having a tulpa is not self-inflicting yourself with schizophrenia. Some of the symptoms of schizophrenia are: delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behavior, loss of interest in daily activities such as bathing and eating, lack of emotion or showing inappropriate emotion. A tulpa is only one (hallucination), maybe two (delusions) of these things, depending on how you split it up. Having a tulpa will not suddenly make you paranoid or dangerous. You will not suddenly hear voices that do not belong to you or your tulpa. Additional hallucinations will not suddenly appear. A tulpa is not a demon that tells you to hurt people, it is a sentient thoughtform.

While tulpa can be used to improve your own performances, using it just for that purpose is really lame, even harmful to your tulpa. It just defeats the purpose of creating a tulps in the first place. You create them to have a companion to accompany you and support you throughtout your life, not to cheat on tests so you don't have to study. And Phi already answered the delusion about self-inflicted scizophrenia.

-A Tulpa could improve childrens test scores:  That's not the point of a tulpa, and you shouldn't even think about making a tulpa with that intention. If you go into the process with this in mind, you will most likely end up with a servitor.

-A Tulpa could make students study harder  : No. A tulpa won't do something the tulpaforcer doesn't want it to do. All it could do is to reason with the tulpaforcer, or to hurt him mentally (although this is very unlikely).

-A Tulpa could improve ones outlook on life : That depends entirely on the personality of the tulpa.

-A Tulpa would be loyal to its creator and always have his or hers best interest in mind: A tulpa is a fully developed personality. You can't generalize this. If your tulpa has a grudge on you or does, indeed, hate you (again, this is very unlikely) the tulpa will NOT have the forcers best interest in mind.

And yes, I can definitely confirm that tulpae do exist, because I'm actively working on one and so far she seems very real. It's your choice if you want to believe random strangers on the internet, though.

As for wether or not you should make a tulpa: A tulpa is a wonderful thing and it can really help a person, and it can definitely enrichen your life. But with the intentions that you have stated; No. A tulpa is not a "thing" that helps you with homework and studying. A tulpas purpose is not to make you more productive. What you want is a servitor, not a tulpa. My personal opinion on servitors is very negative, but then again I'm not an expert and I don't know if a servitor is a bad or a good thing.

I think i should aim for a servitor. Tulpa's dont really seem to have any useful value other then companionship.

Name one thing more important than companionship that a servitor could provide.

You don't really seem to realize that tulpas provide more to a companionship than a human can. They know your subconcious, they know your thoughts, your deepest secrets and understanda all of them. They will always be there, supporting you, keeping you not bored and provide you an unique perspective. While you are free to do whatever you want, creating a servitor just to improve your own success will make most of the community not like you, not to mention tulpas themselves.

The time

subconscious memory access

change my temperature level

help me study for tests

Speed reading

But still i am no expert, so i can't be totally sure what a servitor or a tulpa would do for me. Thats why i am asking the forum.

But if i am going to spend +100 hours what i create should improve my productivity and quality of life, other than that its a waste of time.

Well making everyone not like me could be a risk i am willing to take to advance further. Love and Compassion doesn't seem to be very profitable, but lack of friends is not either. Very risky. Maybe i could make both, A tulpa to love and a Servitor to use.

Your quite harsh objectivness on this matter makes me concerned, and I don't know why.

I just want to see results for my time you know? Why work for 100 hours without getting paid?
