oi-stein August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 Just a thought - if tulpae are separate consciousness, would they use the same memory as us? That is, our brain? Om Mani Padma Hung
Phi August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 Yup, just like other hallucinations or a split personality would. It's held in the same general area in our brain, it's just blocked off under normal circumstances so only the tulpa can retrieve their own memories.
QB2 August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 Same place it keeps the rest of itself, in your brain... nowhere else comes to mind. Though I suppose it's interesting to think whether it's mixed in with your memories or all boxed up in "the tulpa partition" where their main aspects could be considered to be. The above post does not contain facts. q2's the host, QB's the tulpa.
Asgardian August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 Just a thought - if tulpae are separate consciousness, would they use the same memory as us? That is, our brain? Well, you can't really locate memories in your brain anyways, as they are spread over certain areas. Almost every neuron there basically contains an echo of memories. The tulpas are most certainly just encoded in different pathways. "Sorry for that, my communication implants are idiologically biased."
Aviar August 12, 2012 August 12, 2012 Yup, just like other hallucinations or a split personality would. It's held in the same general area in our brain, it's just blocked off under normal circumstances so only the tulpa can retrieve their own memories. Would that imply an unconcious element? That is to say, one does not conciously prevent themselves from retrieving the memories, and there is not a physiological factor (as far as we know), thus, it must be Unconcious.
