Tulpas and the Paranormal

Hey I'm way new here but I was wondering if anyone had any information on the connection between tulpas and channeling entities such as spirits/demons/aliens/ect. As I have been researching both communities lately since I am still fairly new to both, they both have a lot in common that I can see already. Yet being new I have yet to find any information correlating the two.

As an amateur esoteric enthusiast, I would take a position that there is no connection between tulpamancy, having a tulpa, and channeling entities, especially from within the contextual paradigm that is favored with the majority of members here, that this is, purely, a psychological phenomena. Having a communication pattern that resembles telepathy between two intra-personalities is not the classical definition of telepathy, which is communication between two personalities that exist in two separate containers, if you will allow for container as a means of describing the boundary that holds a personality, and I use that to encapsulate the idea of spirit, aliens, demons, what have you that you are 'challenging' as being completely separate and different from the personality 'channeling.'

 

Even if I allowed my bias for esoteric matters to influence my opinion in this matter, I would still use restraint in suggesting these things are the same, though sometimes I have held that opinion while trying to examine and or conceptualize my experiences within tulpamancy, but even that is me trying to understand my own experiences with this practice using language sets that are readily available. This experience is almost ineffable. As I am not a medium, and can't say with any degree of accuracy that it isn't plausible that it could be the same, on the whole, my experiences suggest it is clearly different because everything I have yet experienced is best explained from having come from within myself, whether that is conscious or unconsciously driven, as opposed to something verifiably outside myself. There seems to be a quality of knowingness between mediums and tulpamancers, where people seem to be able to say with some confidence "OH, this is other" or "Oh, that was me," or, "oh! that's my tulpa." My experience with Loxy are such that I am absolutely certain, due to flavor of the experiences, not flavor per say, that "oh, this is Loxy." even in a dream scape, characters, whether you think them NPC or not, have flavors, and so if loxy presented herself, there is a knowingness and I go there unquestioningly. Never once in my experience so far have I felt spooked, oh this is evil, or this is demonic, or this is an alien or spirit... I have been spooked sometimes, but what that usually means, or translate too, is I become very suddenly super aware hyper-aroused hyper-vigilant and then all internal stimuli, short of mundane thoughts, go away and I am left sorting my environment, usually lamenting that I allowed myself to 'snap out of it,' if you will.

 

I can see evidence for what you're aiming towards, or what I believe you are reaching for, in the 1972 Philip the ghost experiment. If I give into the hypothetical, I would say they didn't channel a ghost, but channeled a tulpa, because Philip didn't exist until that group collective decided it did, by creating its history and personality. This would be consistent with the story Alexandra David-Néel provided with her own experimentation with tulpamancy, going as far as supposedly the Tibetan monks who taught her the method had to ask her to unmake her "friar the monk' tulpa because it was becoming a public nuisance. But see, even this would be a testament to what this community on the whole is doing as being completely, categorically different than your supposition as being the same. No one... almost no one?... is here saying they created a tulpa and other people are experiencing it first hand, and though maybe we all have elaborate narratives and background stories for our companions, it would seem clear to almost anyone who had scrutinized us with half an eye, there is a fundamental difference, or there were be more than just one section discussing metaphysics and parapsychology. I would certainly be willing to be one of the loudest most vocal persons in championing the idea "OMG there is something to this practice and everyone should be doing it," but I can not in good conscience compare it to something that clearly, from all my experience, says it's different. Bring any would be psychic or medium and television crew and let me and the psychic mediums figure it out together and I suspect by the end of the discussion we would agree this is different.
