h6qrf October 23, 2022 October 23, 2022 Hello everyone, I have a question about the Tulpa character. What if I don't give my tulpa any traits, how will his character evolve, will it evolve through my memories or through the traits I want to possess or fix please help me here and I apologize for my English
Gloomynoon October 23, 2022 October 23, 2022 Host: In my experience you don’t need to fill out a list of traits. In fact all you really need is a general idea of how they might act when forcing them. They’ll sort of pick up their own as they develop through forcing, maybe memories if you allow that.

TurboSimmie October 24, 2022 October 24, 2022 While I think personality forcing can be a very powerful tool, it is perfectly fine to make a tulpa without it too! A blank slate tulpa can be really interesting, but as they start to develop a personality you might need to "guide" them a little to help them avoid harmful traits. Vinderex October 25, 2022 October 25, 2022 Starting with no traits most certainly is very doable. It's how I started with my first tulpa Zyr. The only input I gave him was just that I hoped he would become a dragon, but that it was ultimately up to him and he was free to choose any form he liked. Everything else was left completely up to him. However, on the other end, having traits and personality in mind can also be helpful. It gives them a head start and sometimes can lead to faster progress as well. Such happened to me with my third tulpa Varlan. Varlan wasn't intentionally created to be a tulpa, instead he started out as just my character in a game. So he not only already had a complete personality, but he also had a detailed backstory. And so once he started developing and becoming tulpa-like, he had a huge head start, and even years later, he's still the most vivid of all my tulpas. So in summation. Sure, there's absolutely nothing wrong with choosing to start off with no traits for your tulpa. They'll develop their own personality over time as they experience more and more. But if you already have some traits in mind, then it can be helpful and conducive to quicker progress to go ahead and feed those traits to your tulpas.
