How can I tell if I have a tulpa or Dissociative Identity Disorder?

Recommended Posts

I created a tulpa, so I know more about psychology. I always feel like I've had tulp before, but it doesn't seem to be. I do have other people living in my body (before I created EN). I often feel the unreality of the world, but I feel very scared and disgusted at the street I miss. I always don't know what others have arranged for me to do, and my memory has been blank for a long time.I suspect that I am a Dissociative Identity Disorder, but I have created EN. I don't know whether it will be tulpa or other personality.

Host: Dogbird

Tulpa: EN or Ian

He is my hope.

I can't stand social barriers.

Love and hope.

If you create a headmate consciously and on purpose, then they're a tulpa. (Tulpas can be unintentionally created for some people as well) However, that doesn't mean you can't also (already) have Dissociative Identity Disorder or something similar. If you experience any negative/disorderly symptoms at all, that's reason to see a psychiatrist or therapist to be officially diagnosed and helped with them. It sounds to me like you do have some weird symptoms, so I would recommend seeing a professional and telling them about this stuff.

Tulpamancy should never entail stress, loss of memory, dissociating/derealization, general loss of your sense of self or so on.
It can be practiced by anyone, disorder or not, but doing so with disorders that affect your clarity of thought or perception of experiences is most often considered dangerous and not recommended.

Hi guys, plain text is just me now! We've each got our own accounts: me, Tewi, Flandre, and Lucilyn. We're Luminesce's tulpas.

Here's our "Ask Thread", and here's our Progress Report (You should be able to see all of our accounts on the second page if you want)
