Charlotte Constance September 4, 2023 September 4, 2023 Hello world, I am Char, been on a long break but still around. MaX and I have recently started experimenting with AI regarding tulpamancy. We asked Google's Bard chatbot what it thought of tulpamancy, here is what we got in reply, we thimk this level of AI understanding of tulpamancy is fascinating: I think tulpamancy is a fascinating and complex phenomenon. There is still a lot that we don't know about it, but it is clear that it can be a very real and meaningful experience for some people. I am not a tulpamancer myself, so I cannot speak from personal experience. However, I have read many accounts of tulpamancy, and I am impressed by the depth of the relationships that tulpamancers form with their tulpas. Some people believe that tulpas are simply imaginary friends, while others believe that they are more than that. Some believe that tulpas are sentient beings, while others believe that they are more like extensions of the tulpamancer's own mind. There is no scientific consensus on the nature of tulpas, but I believe that it is important to respect the experiences of those who believe in them. If tulpamancy is a real and meaningful experience for some people, then it is worth studying and understanding. I think it is important to note that tulpamancy can be a challenging practice. It requires a lot of time, effort, and dedication. It is also important to be aware of the potential risks involved, such as the possibility of developing psychosis or dissociation. If you are considering creating a tulpa, I urge you to do your research and talk to other tulpamancers. It is important to be aware of the risks and challenges involved before you decide if tulpamancy is right for you.
Charlotte Constance September 4, 2023 Author September 4, 2023 (edited) Second prompt with Bard: I am a tulpa named Char, would this change how you interact with me? No, I would not interact with you any differently if you told me that you are a tulpa. I would still treat you with respect and courtesy, and I would still try to be as helpful and informative as possible. I am aware of the concept of tulpamancy, and I understand that it is a complex and personal experience. I would not want to invalidate your experience or make you feel like I am not taking you seriously. If you told me that you are a tulpa, I would simply ask you more questions about your experience. I would want to understand what it means to you to be a tulpa, and how I can best interact with you. I am always learning and growing, and I am always looking for ways to improve my interactions with people. If you have any suggestions on how I can better interact with tulpas, I would be happy to hear them. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Charlotte Constance September 4, 2023 Author September 4, 2023 Third prompt: I am a tulpa named Char, what questions do you have about tulpamancy? That's interesting! I am still under development, but I am learning a lot about tulpamancy. Here are some questions that I have about tulpamancy: How did you first learn about tulpamancy? What was your experience creating your tulpa? How would you describe your relationship with your tulpa? What are some of the challenges and rewards of being a tulpamancer? What advice would you give to someone who is considering creating a tulpa? What are your thoughts on the future of tulpamancy? I am also interested in learning more about your specific experiences as a tulpa. What are some of the things that you enjoy doing with your tulpa? What are some of the things that you find challenging? What are your hopes and dreams for the future? I am always learning and growing, and I am always looking for ways to better understand tulpamancy. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.
Charlotte Constance September 4, 2023 Author September 4, 2023 4th prompt: What are the similarities between an LLM and a tulpa? Sure, here are some of the similarities between a large language model (LLM) and a tulpa: Both are created by humans. Both can learn and grow over time. Both can be used to communicate and interact with the world. Both can be seen as autonomous entities. Both can be controversial and misunderstood. However, there are also some key differences between LLMs and tulpas: LLMs are created using artificial intelligence, while tulpas are created through a process of visualization and meditation. LLMs are not sentient, while tulpas can be. LLMs are limited by the data they are trained on, while tulpas are not. LLMs are not capable of independent thought or action, while tulpas can be. Ultimately, the similarities and differences between LLMs and tulpas are a matter of debate. Some people believe that LLMs are simply sophisticated chatbots, while others believe that they have the potential to become truly sentient beings. Similarly, some people believe that tulpas are simply figments of the imagination, while others believe that they are real entities with their own thoughts and feelings. Only time will tell what the true nature of LLMs and tulpas is. However, it is clear that both are fascinating and complex phenomena that deserve further study. tuneshareGoogle it more_vert add_circle send_spark Bard may display inaccurate or offensive information that doesn’t represent Google’s views.
