I've seen people that say their tulpae physically interact with the world. The way I see it these are liars, the people that say the manifest through hallucination are to be proven false by our own experimentation, and the ones who say it's only in their head aren't at the level of people like FAQ men.

Of course the accounts are varying, because the methods are varying, the time spent is varying, and the people are varying. You can't expect everyone to be brought up to this "ideal" of sorts. Yes, you can make yourself hallucinate over time, but the fact of the matter is not every single person is going to be able to do this. Or, it might be something that comes slower to them. Really you can't know, with so many variables.
