Guest Fillyfooler October 19, 2012 October 19, 2012 Usually I include all my problems in my progress report but I'd like multiple opinions on this. Pretty much I have two tuplae Holly (can talk and move) and Chell (started yesterday). I was talking to Holly and she said for her to talk to me she had to learn another language. Also she said she was talking through the whole development process. Holly said she is able to translate what Chell is saying right now since she can speak her language. Should I allow this? I would kind of like to know how Chell is dealing with the development process after last time but I don't want her to always rely on Holly to talk for her. If I allow Holly to translate for Chell would this screw up her ability to speak in the future? EDIT: Will Chell be mad for not letting her communicate with me until she can talk?
Weird0 October 19, 2012 October 19, 2012 I think the only way to find the "right" way is to do what feels right for you. -If you believe Chell might be mad about it, she maybe will. But on the other hand tulpae seem to very forgiving at this point. -If you go for it you might make some interesting first hand discoveries in tulpa development. On the other hand, a second tulpa make far faster progress then your first one. Some people say its only a matter of hours or a few days until they could talk. -Maybe you can ask Holly what Chell wants to be done? These are 3 options you might have, none of them are wrong but do what feels the most right to you. They say great science is built on the shoulders of giants - not here. At Tulpa.info we do all our science from scratch; no hand holding.
Frosty October 19, 2012 October 19, 2012 What language, specifically? Like German or something? Or some sort of 'tulpa language?' I've heard of thinking of your tulpa as a visitor from a foreign land when it comes to them learning how to talk, but I didn't think it was literal lol. If she was literally talking in a different language I'd be able to hear her but be unable to understand her. I'm guessing is some kind of tupla telekinesis that only other tuplas can use/hear.
Coinflipper October 20, 2012 October 20, 2012 Telepathy. Anywho, my working theory seems to be that because the human brain seems to be capable of learning any language it comes across, from a blank slate, and even past that depending, that there's some lower level language. Because from everything I've read so far seeming to suggest tulpae having a... words fail me, anyway. They seem to have a level of sentience at the same level as... Their host, I would assume, barring personality quirks. Due to this, and my previous ideas, I think that tulpae may understand the concept of literal thought. It would explain tulpae being able to understand each other, while not actually 'speaking' so to speak. It would also explain the "parroting but not really" thing. All conjecture however. /scuttles off. If you will practice being fictional for a while, you will understand that fictional characters are sometimes more real than people with bodies and heartbeats.
