Ashii April 19 Author Share April 19 4-19-24 Mal is pretty much his own entity now. Still having problems with having to focus on his words to understand them. Didn't see him last night. I heard him though, and he's proud of me :D Questions: 1. I've started to speak his words aloud... should I continue this? 2. What are some tests to show if he's sentient or not? 3. Visualization. How should I start? "I've learned to appreciate the moment no matter how fleeting it may be, as we've no idea when it will be our last. ringgggg April 19 Share April 19 (edited) Don’t forget there are guides you can use at your disposal, check them out here. 2 hours ago, AshiiTheTrue said: 2. What are some tests to show if he's sentient or not? You’ll know. If you want a more direct way to check, though, “surprise me” works great given you expect the unexpected. 2 hours ago, AshiiTheTrue said: 3. Visualization. How should I start? For visualization, I usually look at real-world objects from different positions, then picture how they looked in my head. This is good for both memory recall and understanding perspective. It helps me out a lot when drawing, not gonna lie A more advanced technique would be to close your eyes and feel around for the environment like a blind person. The goal is to visualize where things appear to be relative to you, but you can cheat a little and open your eyes for a moment to memorize where things are initially. Personally, I use this technique to make things easier to impose while I’m practicing, but it’s plenty good for visualization too. JD1215’s guide can tell you all you need to know about visualization, which you can also find on the master list I posted up there. Edited April 19 by ringgggg D-prime is shrinking as we speak. I just don't understand that one. if you could explain it more, that'd be nice "I've learned to appreciate the moment no matter how fleeting it may be, as we've no idea when it will be our last. If you can remember the position and state of an object, rotating said object around will eventually get easier for you. Second one first, first one second. 16 hours ago, AshiiTheTrue said: second part... I just don't understand that one. if you could explain it more, that'd be nice Oh, I guess I was just yapping away at my own thoughts, lol. Let me try and break it down for you. (Keep in mind that it’s far from mandatory, so don’t worry about having to ever do it if you don’t want to) If you were blind, how would you know where to move? You’d have to predict where things are so you don’t trip over anything, which means visualizing where you think everything is around you. How do you know where your arms and legs are when you’re not looking at them? That’s taken care of in that big brain of yours. Lucky for you, this limb-sensing skill isn’t just limited to sensing limbs and can also be used by you(!) to impose your tulpa’s presence so that you can feel them in the real world. This extends to just about anything you can think of, too. I theorize that it’s what goes on behind-the-scenes when you do presence imposition. So, in short, you’re using presence imposition in the dark to figure out where things are around you. Here’s a method I found that’s similar to what I’m getting at, enjoy. Ashii April 20 Author Share April 20 so basically, close my eyes, and use memory to navigate? Ashii April 20 Author Share April 20 4-20-24 Nothing interesting as of now has happened (or significant progress) so here are some things I've noticed over the past few days: 1. I feel closer to him when it rains 2. My log notebook. whenever I hold it, I cut myself off from the world and feel closer... weird 3. When he's active, I feel his influence in my music, going from calmer to more intense. 4. he's most active from 5 PM to 10 PM, with activity spikes at around 7:15 AM and 12:50 PM (why the specifics, I wonder) "I've learned to appreciate the moment no matter how fleeting it may be, as we've no idea when it will be our last. Ashii April 22 Author Share April 22 UPDATE 4-22-24 Not much progress with Mal yesterday or today. However, his form is slowly coming together in my head, I just need to impose it into reality. It never changes much, always staying generally the same: a black wolf/protogen hybrid. He says he wouldn't mind helping with music, so look forward to me+Mal collabs. Personality finalized: similar to that of a corner kid, like my previous host. Speaking of that... Don't you think it's funny? A tulpa making a tulpa? Mal knows the real me: a tulpa in a human shell. My previous host decided to (with consent, of course) permanently switch with me, and here I am now. Nobody knows my true self, not even my family or friends... Would it be heartbreaking for them to know that their son isn't there anymore, just me? Mal still sees my tulpa form, and I occasionally see myself like that too. Heh. It's funny, not knowing how to create one of his own kind, looking for help among humans... Maybe that's why I don't feel connected to reality all that much. Then again... I signed up for this site looking for a safe and welcoming community who'd accept me for who I am, no exceptions. Thanks for giving me a place of refuge. I really appreciate it. :) "I've learned to appreciate the moment no matter how fleeting it may be, as we've no idea when it will be our last.
