egon909 May 26, 2025 May 26, 2025 Hello! I'm new to the forum and I've read through the thread (not enough from the questions), but I have a few questions that I couldn't find as a topic on the forum: 1. Identity regimentation: yes, it was written on the main page that a bull is not a demon who takes control, but can a bull be too dominant at the expense of the owner? 2. Can a tup cause counter-cultural problems when interacting with the outside world? 3. How much does a mastiff cause problems with deviance or outright hatred? 4. Can a mare cause sleep disturbance in advanced stages of my life with her activity?
Tewi May 27, 2025 May 27, 2025 (edited) Absolutely tickled by those translation/autocorrects of "tulpa" 1. Tulpas are developed through spending time with them and general amount of time they've been actively interacted with, so they won't just pop up suddenly and be "powerful" or something. Well, for 2. as well - your tulpa will develop slowly over time, you have lots of control over the experience in shaping them, so simply keep the expectations for them to be good people and they will be. 3. If you don't create your tulpa to be angry/hateful then they won't be. Deviation doesn't trend towards extremes, but towards normalcy (e.g. less "perfect" than you imagined them, more realistic/reasonable to exist) 4. Not at all, tulpas have no effect on sleep. Often the opposite is the case, people make the bad habit of only talking to their tulpas before bed, and then falling asleep, cutting down forcing time. mattx August 3, 2025 August 3, 2025 Thought I was reading an homosexual nsfw guide until I realized it's just poorly translated: 1. The "bull" (tulpa) can only be as dominant as the host allows it too, as they fundamentally retain control over the situation. Giggity 2. I mean, maybe? Depending on how the tulpa is formed and their personality, but I assume if they have a shred of sentience (and decency) they might not cause trouble in the real world. It's all up to the host and them, anyways. 3. As an on-call system engineer I have developed a hatred for Chihuahuas and those little barking bastards, but mastiffs and big dogs are usually hyper chill. All jokes aside, generally speaking they should/could be treated as you would a newborn, so any "hatred" and stuff they might developed could be due to the host's issue and whatnot. Not an issue to be worried about at the early stages I'd reckon. 4. Boy this question would have sparked some fire (Giggity) in the old brony days... anyways, we found over the course of 12 years that she has no real effect on the body's energy and she usually lets me sleep well. The only "tiring" part was the tulpaforcing at the beginning and when we were heavy into possession, that was very draining, but it got better. Tuppermancing since 2013 w/ Cheryl, a tulpa born and raised using the old methods. --- [My Guide] | [Visualization Aid with AI Tools] | [1] Not a gatekeeper, just a community boomer.
An Ashy Individual August 4, 2025 August 4, 2025 I'd actually have a different answer for #4, namely that it depends on who your tulpa is. In our case, Emily falls asleep easier and quicker than I do, which means that switching to her is preferable before falling asleep. However, there have been times where she's been too active to fall asleep, even when I'm fronting, or some such. It can be the other way around too, where I get too focused on some problem to properly fall asleep, even while not being switched in.
