So after a (Regrettably long due to exams) hiatus on the creation of a Tulpa I got back in it today and began narration. Basically when walking down the beach I was just rambling to her about what I did today etc. with a bit of personality mixed in (The usual "you are [trait]...etc") and huzzah I started getting a light headache and a pressure on the left hand side of my head (I've heard its often the right hand side with people but maybe that's because I'm left handed *shrugs*) which apparently signal's progress but I can't help but feel my narration could be improved a bit. So I would like to ask those with a bit more experience in the subject, how do you narrate and/or what tips do you have on it?

I think that you and I are the only southpaws on the site ;_;

Your narration method is good, especially with the talking about your day. As long as you're not making her say anything back, you will be fine. The only tip I have is to keep narration and personality work slightly separated, or at least change your mindset when working on each one. I've found that when the two mix, it gets a bit muddled with the tulpa, often confusing them,

Well honestly the way you narrate is completely unimportant as long as it satisfy you and makes you keep your tulpa in mind for the most time of the day. For my many periods I almost didn't narrate at all and it came out just fine.

The way that I've been narrating I've been talking more about my opinion on things. Like, giving personal commentary on what's happening... Is that a bad idea?

And it sure doesn't help that I've been having trouble with personality. It just feels weird to say "you are x", so I tried writing down some commentary about his traits in the second person instead of just repeating "You are x" over and over.

Both of those are fine, and it's actually how I did. As long as you make sure to communicate that those opinions remain your opinions, or else you could have a tulpa very similar to your self.

I'm not worried about him being similar to me, so much; I'm mostly worried that I'm parroting wayyyyyyyyyyyy too much. I've always been used to telling myself stories, so it is really comfortable for me to have a conversation with myself. As a result, I just end up saying what I think he would say without asking first. And I'm not sure if I can stop it. Same for puppeting, actually. I should post that in a separate thread or something, though.
